STUTTGART – Today the members of the TCŞ Stuttgart organized a youth demonstration for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan in Stuttgart. The demonstration began with 70 young people, drawing the attention of people in downtown Stuttgart to the current situation with slogans such as “Freedom for Öcalan, peace in Kurdistan” and banners. The Kurdish youths who campaigned for the physical freedom of Rêber APO, who has been imprisoned in the high-security prison of Imrali under severe isolation torture since February 15, 1999 by an international conspiracy, declared:
“For 22 months we have had no sign of life from our representative (…). Neither his family nor his lawyers are allowed to visit him. We demand an explanation from the CPT. We want to know where Rêber APO is and how he is doing! As long as we don’t get any new information, we’ll continue to take actions!”
