Finally, HPG stated in its statement that 11 freedom guerrillas were fighting a historical struggle in the Martyr Xursi War Tunnels, and that 11 guerrillas were martyred as a result of the intensive and systematic use of chemical weapons by the invading Turkish state. 11 freedom guerrillas were martyred on 5 November 2022.

Our comrade Sefkan was born and raised in a welatparêz and traditional family in Idir. Comrade Sefkan, who witnessed first hand the denial and genocidal policy of the Turkish state against Kurdish society in Kurdistan and in the metropolitan areas of Turkey, tried to fight against this policy. Comrade Sefkan, who had the opportunity to learn more about the Chairman’s philosophy during this research, took the opportunity to delve deeper into the Chairman’s philosophy. Our Comrade Sefkan, who continued his family’s legacy in the political sphere, became more and more actively involved as he delved into the Chairman’s philosophy. Our comrade Sefkan, who worked with inexhaustible energy, organized and made great efforts, to raise awareness of our society, realized over time that he could carry out various activities with the knowledge and experience he had acquired over time. Comrade Sefkan, who became a target of the invaders because of his effective struggle, sat in the dungeons of the Turkish state for two years. He turned the dungeons used by the fascist Turkish state as a means of torture and to keep Kurdish society from fighting and neutralizing it into a training ground. Our comrade Sefkan, concentrating even more in this process, realized that the best answer to the enemy’s policy of intimidation was to step up his fight and at that point he decided to join the guerrilla.
Our comrade Sefkan, whose first practice was in the Zap area, one of the most difficult areas of guerrilla life, had no difficulty adapting his faith, determination and willpower to his hevals and guerrilla life, despite the steep terrain and operating conditions in the area zap Our Comrade Sefkan, who maintained his determination to actively participate in life and war to the end, was loved and respected by his Hevals with this quality. In addition to intensive practical work, our comrade Sefkan, who continued his ideological concentration and individual training, was a role model for all his hevals in the same field.
While fighting intensely against the invasion operations of the fascist Turkish state on April 14, he was keen to share his vital and military experiences with his young Hevals. Our comrade Sefkan, who played an important role in many actions that dealt great blows to the attackers and in resisting in the fighting positions that almost encircled the enemy, maximized his struggle with his resistance in the Şehîd Xursî resistance positions. With his moral involvement in fighting the enemy’s insidious tendencies, he strengthened the power of his hevals and became a great role model for his life and a great example of how to make resistance invincible by doing it continuously.
