NEWS CENTER – Since April 14, 2022, the invading Turkish state continues to use chemical weapons against the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla on the basis of war crimes. HPG shares with the public all the attacks that have developed in its daily balance sheets. Finally, HPG stated in its statement that 11 freedom guerrillas were fighting a historical struggle in the Martyr Xursi War Tunnels, and that 11 guerrillas were martyred as a result of the intensive and systematic use of chemical weapons by the invading Turkish state. 11 freedom guerrillas were martyred on 5 November 2022.

“My name is Yunus Alkan. I was born in Wan’s Westan district. When we were kids, they called guerrilla terrorists. This is how we know. I didn’t make much sense of it myself. I researched why they went to the mountain, what they were fighting for. This is how recognition developed. I joined from Wan in 2014. We were living in the system for a day, we didn’t know what we were doing. But this is not the case here, a person makes sense of what he does, he knows his own reality.
When we first came, the system was dirty on us. As time passed, we changed ourselves. We learned our own reality.
Enemy attacks are evolving in every way. In particular, there is an all-out attack against our movement, our people and our Leader. Finally, after the Rojava Revolution, the system saw the alternative realization of Democratic Modernity and Democratic Confederalism in society as a danger for itself. That’s why he increased his attacks.
Finally, the life created by Leader Apo has awakened our people and the peoples of the Middle East. They want to liquidate it, to end it. Not only the Turkish state is supported in every sense. Now, in areas such as Zap, Metina and Zagros, an unmatched resistance is exhibited. A move will be launched this autumn, too, and the organization has deemed us appropriate for the move. Our focus is to give a strong response to the enemy. We will break the will of the enemy, we will give the necessary answer to the enemy.”
