BARCELONA – A march was held in Barcelona, Spain, to mark the 10th anniversary of the December 9, 2013 Paris massacre. The march was led by internationalists and was attended by about 300 people.
The crowd marched through the city center’s Pasig de Gracia to the Turkish consulate. Activists chanted slogans like “Kill Erdogan”.
The march continued to the central square of Placa Catalonia and a rally condemned the massacres in Paris. The march ended with a pledge to strengthen the women’s revolution.
After the march ended and the activists had dispersed, Catalan police stopped a group of activists and seized PKK flags for the first time. This behavior of the Catalan police sparked widespread protests.
