“One of our great commanders trained by our female army, our commander, Zap State Command Member Melsa Muş, and our comrades Govend and Nûda were martyred in the enemy attack that took place in Medya Defense Zones in 2021. We commemorate all our martyrs of the revolution with respect and gratitude in the person of these valiant comrades who are the leading commanders of our cause for freedom, the self-sacrificing militants of PAJK and the most genuine representatives of the free women’s movement.
Our comrades Melsa, Govend and Nûda put all their energies with great love and effort for the freedom of our people, all oppressed peoples and especially the oppressed women’s nation, from the first day they joined the freedom movement until their last breath. For this, they made themselves the source of power, remedy, hope and freedom with the Apoist ideology in the most difficult conditions, in the most cruel moments and in the environment of impossibilities. They ran from position to position, from task to task without hesitation, they did not stop, they fought bravely and they knew how to create the most beautiful values with their holy companions. As the leading YJA Star commanders and militants, they pioneered the new era guerrilla in Zap for the most accurate implementation of our Revolutionary People’s War Strategy, they put in unprecedented effort and practiced it carelessly, believing in victory guerrillaism.
We commemorate our comrades Melsa, Govend and Nûda, who gave their lives for this without any hesitation, gave great value to the cause of freedom, and became the symbol of our women’s army in the Zap, with respect and gratitude on their martyrdom anniversary. We promise that by ensuring women’s freedom, we will take the greatest revenge against the ruling-dominated male mentality and its fascist nation-state, and that we will definitely achieve their dreams. With these feelings, we express our condolences to the esteemed families of our martyred comrades and the patriotic people of Kurdistan.

MELSA MUŞ
Our comrade Melsa, who took her leaven from Serhed’s persistent stance, was born into a patriotic family. Our comrade Melsa grew up with patriotic values since her childhood, did not accept any feudal approach imposed on her, and her warrior features became one of the main features that determined her character at a young age. These features made her a complete rebel against the genocidal practices. Comrade Melsa, who has known our party PKK from an early age, has become more and more interested and sympathetic to the guerrilla and our Party, especially due to the participation of his close family in the guerrilla ranks and martyrdoms. Therefore, she sought to join the ranks of the struggle at every moment of her life.
Despite participating in the struggle for freedom during the difficult processes of the conspiracy, our comrade Melsa attracted attention in a short time with her effort, understanding and level of investing herself in the Party line, adapted to mountain life in a very short time and gained military skills and skills. She showed her difference with her style of participation and became one of the friends who made her presence felt among her comrades. Comrade Melsa, who came to the ranks of the Party by not accepting that the Leader was taken into captivity, understood the truth of the Leadership even more deeply after her participation, and added new dimensions to her participation in response to the conspiracy. The strong pursuit of freedom has also strengthened this situation. These characteristics of our comrade Melsa, who has a character who analyzes the events in every aspect and wants to give meaning, enabled her to adopt and accept the Women’s Liberation Ideology not only as a consciousness but also spiritually. Meeting with the women’s analyzes made by the leadership, learning about the environment she came from, the reality of the system, the connection of the roles assigned to women with slavery and the historical course of this, actually became a name for her searches that brought her to the ranks but could not name, understood the reasons, and at this point, she connected herself to the freedom movement with unbreakable ties. When the practical and military skills she gained in a short time were fed with these features, she made our comrade Melsa a sought-after warrior, combative comrade and a promising candidate for commander at the very beginning of the war years. She determined this direction, which she had chosen for herself, as the route of her life, and added new dimensions to these features at every step. She adopted the revolutionary stance, which means being a fighter for justice, equality and right, as a philosophy of life and always lived that way.
She knitted such a stance of struggle first in the patriotic fortress of Botan, and later in many parts of Kurdistan, on the summits that were almost untouched by human hands, gaining different colors and meanings from each piece, thus strengthening the road march. Our comrade Melsa has always been a comrade who wanted to be at the forefront of this struggle, to take part in the most difficult areas, to face the challenge before her comrades. She stood against all kinds of liquidation as a follower of the Leader’s line in all the contradictory and conflicting environment after the conspiracy, and she showed her response to the conspiratorial forces by participating in Hêzên Taybet’s activities and choosing self-sacrifice. In Botan, where the guerrilla re-settled after the withdrawal process, she again faced all the difficulties of the firsts. She carried out an important mission in each of her fields of expansion and successfully fulfilled many tasks that not everyone could cope with. Knowing many fields enabled her to develop her military skills and tactical application style as a commander in many ways, as well as witnessing different social levels shaped in the geographies she lived in. It has developed to understand people better, to see the Kurdish reality in every aspect, to feel the bottleneck that Kurdish women experience more deeply. These riches she gained were reflected in the commanding stance of our comrade Melsa; She has made a tactical, brave and dashing commander who does not compromise on the principles of women’s freedom, imposes the genocide, and nullifies the attacks of the enemies in every field. In this sense, consciously living the women’s army embodied in YJA Star, she made a competent commander who participated consciously and trained herself at the point of guerrillaism. With these features, our comrade Melsa has also carried the guerrilla into the process of restructuring itself on the basis of the Revolutionary People’s War strategy, and has managed to re-equip herself in all the principles of Democratic Modernity Guerrillaism by fighting in and around her against the classical command stance. Her quick wit, innovative and enterprising spirit made her one of the commanders who adopted the tactic of the new era the earliest and applied it most strongly. In this process, which represents a new era in terms of women’s army, she fulfilled her pioneering duties as a woman in command and led the way by fighting against all the habits of classical guerrillaism and the classical command stance.
Our comrade Melsa, who has an active role in bringing the women’s army, which restructured itself on the basis of the Revolutionary People’s War, to the present day, turned to the battlefields again in 2020, in the face of increasing enemy tendencies and invasion threats, and insisted on moving to the Zagros. Putting her experience and knowledge at the service of her comrades in Zap, the place of valiant men who create syndrome in the enemy, she continued his duty as YJA Star State Command with great devotion, participation and assertion. Our comrade Melsa was martyred together with comrades Govend and Nûda in the Ertûş area, where she went to strengthen the revolutionary offensive process against the enemy’s operations in 2021. Their efforts and self-sacrificing participation. The stance of our comrade Melsa, who adds great value to the women’s army with her strong stance and ideological equipment, will always enlighten us as a guide in our fight, and revenge for them will be our reason for struggle. In this sense, we say to our pioneer commander: “Our great-hearted valiant commander, we have buried you in our hearts, we will make your dreams live in the victory that will be finalized in the physical freedom of the Leader.”

GOVEND ZAGROS
Born in Sêrt, our comrade Govend, was one of Botan’s valiant children. She heard about our struggle for freedom from an early age, due to the fact that she joined the guerrilla ranks and martyred from her close circle. Kurdistan grew up with the heroic epics of the Freedom Guerrilla and our self-sacrificing martyrs. For this reason, it has determined the participation of the guerrilla as the greatest and most valuable goal to be achieved. Since her youth, she started to question her environment and the life she lived in, and her contradictions grew day by day. She was especially angry at the pressure of colonialism and genocide that our people were in, and focused on the reasons for this. In these concentrations, she encountered the reality of the enemy and began to better understand the massacres, oppression and cruelty carried out by the enemy against our people. This situation caused great anger in our comrade Govend. Again, she realized early on that the enemy wanted to break the Kurdish youth away from the struggle with special warfare methods, and tried to raise the awareness of the youth around her against these policies of the enemy. In this sense, even before joining the ranks of the Party, she set herself a pioneering mission. Again, by bringing the traditional approaches and roles towards women in society to awareness in a short time, she stated that she would not be involved in such a slavery wheel. Our comrade Govend, who has tried several times to join the guerrilla ranks, which she saw as the only place where she could fight against the enemy attacks and pressures and the imposition of slavery in the society.
Our comrade Govend, who quickly adapted to the guerrilla conditions with his curious and exciting features, was influenced by the magnificent magnificence of the Zagross and named her name Govend and joined the struggle with the dream of reaching these peaks, living a life like them, and being one of the Stars of this land. Our comrade Govend, who wants to be at the forefront and learn everything quickly for this, instead of being ordinary and participating like everyone else, proved to be a competent YJA Star militant by reinventing herself in these sacred places in the Leadership philosophy in a short time. Our comrade Govend, who has also trained herself in terms of professionalism with her quick wit and power of understanding, has always tried to push her limits and surpass herself by reaching higher. To become competent in guerrillaism, While hitting the enemy more effectively and displaying the highest performance at this point was her main goal, she joined Hêzên Taybet in 2016 in order to achieve this selflessly. After the first training she received, she turned to Zagros to use her new skills on the battlefields.
In 2018, the Zap field was regulated. Our comrade Govend, who stayed in almost all front lines of Zap, first took part in the Çiya Reş field, and showed the result of the training she received in a short time with the success she displayed in her branch. She participated in many of the actions developed in this process, actively participated in all kinds of work developed to strike the enemy, and became the driving force of this. In the operation that continued at the local level in 2020, she was always on the front lines in all kinds of invasion attacks developed in 2021, and she made her claim to practice here. Our comrade Govend was a comrade who had a searcher’s character, did not avoid any struggle to find the truth, insisted on the truths she believed based on persuasion, but also knew how to make a change in herself by showing the power to see her mistakes over time. Our comrade Govend, who carried out activities in the Revolutionary People’s War, achieved professionalism, went step by step through the difficult stages of practice and created a steel will in herself, became one of the leading cadres in the new stage of women’s army as a YJA Star guerrilla with the level she achieved. NÛDA WAN GOYİ
Our comrade Nûda was born and grew up in Wan as a member of a family of patriotic Goyi tribe originally from Sirnex. Being patriotic in her family and living in a center like Wan, where our struggle continues most effectively, enabled our comrade Nûda to meet the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle from an early age. She witnessed the oppression and tortures developed by the enemy against our people in the environment she lived in, so she had the opportunity to understand the reality of the enemy early. She also brought to consciousness the policies developed by the colonial Turkish state to put our people through the genocide; has realized that she must struggle to fulfill her duties and responsibilities towards our people, both as a free individual and as a member of the society to which he belongs.
Our comrade Nûda, who became competent in guerrilla and developed herself in a short time to respond to the gains of our people and the attacks developed by ISIS gangs against our ancient Êzidî people, went to Shengal in 2015 to protect our Êzidî people and women against ISIS. During her time in Shengal, she took an active part in the struggle against the gangs and successfully fulfilled her militant duty by participating in many moves and actions. She wanted to put her experiences in the war on a more scientific framework on the basis of Democratic Modernity Guerrillaism, and for this purpose she received heavy weapons training. She has become a professional YJA Star militant by empowering herself both technically and ideologically during the training process. The participation of our comrade Nûda, who showed an important level of effectiveness here, she came to the fore with her level of understanding and ability to implement tactics, and she took command of the academy for a long time. In this sense, by educating many friends, she made an important effort and contribution to the guerrilla’s self-renewal and professionalization. Our comrade Nûda, who exhibited these works not only in one area but also in many areas of the Kurdistan mountains, turned her face to the Zap area at her own will and insistence, after a period of time when the dosage of the attacks against the Medya Defense Areas increased. She played an active role as the commander of the heavy weapons unit in the Zap area, where he came in 2019, and participated in many actions. Sharing her experience and knowledge with her fellow comrades, she duly played the leading role in tactics and style as a YJA Star commander.
To repel existing attacks, to participate more strongly in the resistance of the Leader, Our comrade Nûda has always wanted to be at the forefront, in a constant quest to fulfill her promise of loyalty to the martyrs, to avenge our martyrs and to better represent the level of professionalism she achieved as a female guerrilla. Our comrade Nûda, who always aims to fight at the forefront with his combative personality and anger towards the enemy, reached martyrdom during the move he made in order to repel the attacks of the enemy in the Zap area in 2021 and to teach the enemy a historical lesson, leaving behind a great legacy of struggle and goals to be achieved. As her comrades, as a requirement of our devotion to the memory of our comrade Nûda, we will fight harder to achieve their goals and we will definitely win the victory.
