BEHDİNAN – According to the statement, guerrillas named Gülistan Aydemir (Devrim Hêjar), Ayşe Muhammed (Dîcle Rohat) and Ali Nuri (Andok Serhat) and Mervan Şahnali (Rojger Gabar) were martyred during the resistance war against the Turkish army.
HPG Press Center made the following statement regarding the martyred guerrillas:
“On October 27, 2022, our YJA Star commander Devrim Hêjar and our comrades Dîcle and Andok fell martyrs during the enemy attacks in Girê Hakkari Resistance Area in Metîna. These valuable comrades, who have made significant efforts in transforming the Girê Hakkari area into a fortress of resistance, succeeded in becoming the most distinguished examples of the Kurdistan Guerrilla, which did not allow the invaders to pass. In particular, our comrades Devrim, Dîcle and Andok, who successfully fulfilled their duties and responsibilities by developing many actions in the historical resistance led by our YJA Star guerrillas, will continue to enlighten us with their martyrdom, just as they led us with their struggle and resistance.
Our party maintains its commitment to our Leader and the sacred life created by our martyrs, from the moment our freedom struggle began in the Licê district of Amed, where the PKK was founded. Our people in Licê have become the essence of this life by joining their most precious children to the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla. Despite all the massacres, burning of villages and inhuman practices of the enemy, he did not compromise his stance. Today, it continues to lead our struggle despite all kinds of special war propaganda.

Our comrade Devrim, who was born in Licê, had to migrate to the center of Amed with her family after Licê was burned by the enemy. She grew up here and spent most of his life in Amed. Our comrade started to recognize our struggle from a very young age, due to the fact that she grew up in a place like Amed that led our struggle, she witnessed the enemy attacks one-on-one, and her older sister and uncle joined the guerrilla ranks. Like every Kurdish youth, our comrade Devrim, who sees herself as responsible for the freedom struggle of our people, remained in youth work for a long time. During her youth work, she helped tens of Kurdish youth to become conscious and join the ranks of the struggle. She also wanted to join the guerrilla ranks during her high school years, but this request was not realized. However, our comrade Devrim, whose claim to a free life has always been great, did not interrupt her search and waited impatiently for the day she would join the guerrilla. Our comrade Devrim, who was a very successful student even in the system schools, ended the university and went to the metropolises of Turkey. During the university process, she saw the reality of the enemy and the enemy’s point of view towards our people more clearly, and therefore began to embrace her Kurdishness more. Again, she did not leave the revolutionary environment at the university and continued her studies there. Stating that she would never live the false life offered by the system, Comrade Devrim learned in 2011 that her older sister, Comrade Devrim, was martyred in 1996, and thought it was time for her to join the struggle. In addition, the fact that one of her uncles was martyred in 1995 made comrade Devrim determined the line of struggle.
Our comrade Devrim left her university in 2011 and joined the guerrilla ranks from the land of her birth, first took the name Hêjar. Although she wanted to take her sister’s name, she felt the weight of being worthy of that name. She concentrated on this for a long time. Because being a Revolution, being a revolutionary had heavy burdens, and she was conscious of the need to be worthy and responsive to this. Our comrade Devrim, who made important breakthroughs in her personality after the concentration she experienced, continued her struggle by changing her name to Devrim Hêjar. From that moment on, her whole life has been tumultuous, completely devoted to the revolution. Comrade Devrim developed herself militarily and ideologically, devoted all her time to understanding the Leadership and deepening in the Ideology of Women’s Liberation. She made great efforts to live every moment with the Leadership. By living with the Leadership, she tried to feel our Leadership and deeply understood the meaning of our Leadership for our people and our Movement. She has never set limits for herself and devoted herself to further development. Comrade Devrim has a full and successful guerrilla life, has served at all levels from team commander to regional commander. She worked in the fields of Metîna, Garê, Zap, Xakûrkê and finally Heftanîn. By taking part in many studies, our organization has not lost its trust in itself, and has always been in an effort to participate more by taking important responsibilities. Our comrade Devrim managed to leave traces on all her comrades with her natural personality and sincere comradeship, became an exemplary commander with her talents in many fields. She had a tremendous concentration and effort to successfully implement the guerrilla tactics of the new era and to be able to respond to the enemy’s attacks against our Movement. Especially after 2018, she took part in many actions against the enemy and in these actions he revealed all her grudge and anger towards the enemy. She participated in many actions and was responsible for the planning and implementation of many actions. Our comrade Devrim, who succeeded in becoming a promising YJA Star commander, knew that she would be worthy of our Leadership and our martyred comrades by adding new ones to these achievements. For this, she has constantly experienced the deep concentration of how she can magnify his struggle further.
Our comrade Devrim took charge in many areas, especially in Girê Hakkari, against the operations launched by the enemy in the Metîna area in 2022, coordinated the effective actions against the enemy. Most recently, our comrade Devrim, who served as the regional commander in the Girê Hakkari Resistance Area, took part in all the preparation processes of the 26 November Revolutionary Operation, but was martyred in the enemy attack on 27 October 2022 while she was at the beginning of these preparatory works. Our comrade Devrim, who has always been a pioneer PKK-PAJK militant with her work, insistence on freedom, and hiercommitment to the Leadership and its martyrs, will continue to lead us with her martyrdom.

Kobanê, which is the symbol of free Kurdishness, as well as saving humanity from great trouble with the historical resistance it developed against the enemy of humanity, reactionary gangs and their benefactors, has earned this title by bringing thousands of brave men out of its bosom. Our comrade Dîcle was born in the patriotic village of Berxbotan as a valiant woman of Kobanê. The family of our comrade Dîcle has been in struggle since the first period of our freedom struggle in the Rojava area, and has become an exemplary family with these features. This precious family of ours has shielded its chest against the gangs in the historical Kobanê resistance and did not give way. In the epic struggle, the brother of our comrade Dîcle reached martyrdom and became one of the heroes of the Kobanê Resistance. Coming from such a struggling family, our comrade Dîcle’s heart beat with the fire of freedom from an early age. She waited impatiently for the moment when she would meet with the guerrillas, whose heroic tales she had heard. Our comrade Tigris took part in the ranks of the revolution when the first seeds of the Rojava Freedom Revolution began to be planted. She participated in the activities with the awareness that she had to fulfill her duties and responsibilities as a young Kurdish woman during the times when our people in Rojava were very close to their freedom. After a certain period of time, she took part in the defense units of our people against the gang attacks that developed against our people. She took an active part in the intense war in this process. Our comrade Dîcle, who fought bravely to protect our people from gang attacks, was wounded once in the foot, but recovered in a short time and took his place in the resistance positions again. She contributed to the transformation of Kobanê into a fortress of resistance that did not fall. Our comrade Dîcle, who had the chance to fight in the same position with tens of our comrades during the Kobanê Resistance, took the essence of Apoist philosophy from these martyrs who made history with their martyrdom, and wanted to be a student of this philosophy. On this basis, he decided to join the guerrilla ranks and turned his face to the mountains of Kurdistan.
Our comrade Dîcle, who managed to join the guerrilla ranks, which was her childhood dream, joined life with great enthusiasm and excitement, and tried to relieve the longing for years. She considered guerrilla life as a place to get to know one’s self, existence and life. Again, she considered joining the guerrilla ranks, which she saw as the door to freedom, as a revolution for herself and made great efforts to create herself moment by moment during this revolution process. Our comrade Dîcle, who had war experience, felt the need to educate herself ideologically in order to follow in the footsteps of her comrades whose dervish lives he witnessed in Kobanê. On this basis, she studied at the Martyr Beritan Free Women’s Academy with a group of female comrades. She considered the education she received there as the turning point of her life. In this process, she never forgot the efforts of her comrades, with whom hse was educated and shared a life, and made it the compass of her life. After successfully completing her education, our comrade Dîcle moved to the Avaşîn field, participated in the practice strongly with her military experience as well as the ideological knowledge she received. She successfully fulfilled the pioneering mission expected of her as a YJA Star guerrilla by participating in many actions against the enemy in the Avaşîn area, where she lived for about two years. Later, she took part in active teams in order to successfully reflect the new era guerrillaism, it’s tactics and style to our freedom war. Within the framework of the enemy’s attempts to invade Bashur Kurdistan, she put great effort into successfully implementing the mobile guerrilla tactic against the attack on Medya Defense Zones. She shared her war experiences with her comrades, and in this sense, she tried to do her duty properly. She not only shared her experiences, but also became an exemplary commander by fighting in the same position with his comrades.
Since the beginning of the Cenga Xabûrê Martyr War Maraş Revolutionary Campaign, which was developed against the enemy’s invasion attack on the Metîna area, she had a significant effort in inflicting major blows on the enemy with mobile teams. She pioneered the successful use of many guerrilla tactics, thus demonstrating the invincibility and persistence of the Kurdistan guerrilla to the enemy once again. Our comrade Dîcle, who was martyred in the enemy attack that took place on October 27, 2022 while she was in the Girê Hakkari Resistance Area, left a great legacy of struggle and goals to be achieved. Our comrade Andok was born in a patriotic family that preserved Kurdish culture for centuries in our ancient city and crowned it with free Kurdishness with the support they gave to the historical Kobanê Resistance. Since his family and environment are patriotic and they took part in the Rojava Freedom Revolution, our comrade Andok was raised with the patriotic consciousness revealed by Leader Apo from an early age. Since the first years of his youth coincided with the beginning of the Rojava Freedom Revolution, our comrade Andok made his personality formation under revolutionary conditions. For this reason, our comrade Andok has grown with the revolution of our people. But he was not a follower of this revolutionary process, was contained within himself. Acting with the awareness that he is the pioneer of the society, like every honorable Kurdish youth, our comrade Andok has been striving to meet the expectations of our people and to be worthy of his comrades who sacrificed their lives for our people. For this reason, he participated in youth activities and was determined and determined to be the successor of our red star Ali Çiçek. He has been involved in many levels of youth work for a long time and wanted to respond to the needs of the revolutionary process. When appropriate, he led the civil actions and acted as the standard bearer of the demands of our people, and when necessary, he ran on the war front and protected our people against gang attacks. He waited impatiently for the moment when he would join the resistance to put his experiences into practice. Our comrade Andok, who did not waste a single moment, has always improved himself both in terms of tactical creativity and in recognizing and using the weapons used by the guerrilla. Thus, he trained and positioned himself completely according to the conditions of war. When the time came, he spent every moment concentrating in order to carry out an effective struggle against the enemy, and he saw the benefit of this in wartime. Our comrade Andok, who did not waste a single moment, has always improved himself both in terms of tactical creativity and in recognizing and using the weapons used by the guerrilla.
Our comrade Andok, who took part in the war front by taking part in the mobile teams against the attacks launched by the enemy against the Metîna area in 2022, took part in many actions from the day the invasion attacks began until the moment he was martyred. He is aware that he avenges both his martyred comrades and our people in every blow he inflicts on the invading Turkish state. It has been in deep concentration to carry out larger actions and to uproot the enemy from the places he has occupied. Our comrade Andok, who crowned his honesty in his participation in life with his courageous and self-sacrificing stance in the war, was martyred in the enemy attacks that took place in Girê Hakkari Resistance Area on October 27, 2022 and took his place in the caravan of martyrs.

He was constantly on alert against the enemy’s operations to occupy the Metîna area, and took part in actions in which heavy blows were struck at many moments when the enemy did not expect it. Our comrade Rojger, who successfully implemented the new era guerrilla tactics and achieved results, increased his participation day by day in order to enlarge the struggles of his comrades who were martyred during the war and to protect their memories on the right basis.
On October 27, 2022, our comrade Rojger, who noticed a group of enemy soldiers in the Girê Martyr Piling area in the Girê Hakkari Resistance Area, and our comrades Sîpan and Brave with him, went against the enemy with the spirit of Apoist sacrifice and dealt effective blows. As a result of the effective blows of our comrades, 12 invaders were punished and 8 invaders were injured. Our comrade Rojger, who fought until his last breath in the intense clashes, reached martyrdom. Our comrade Rojger, who managed to become an exemplary Apoist militant with his lively, enthusiastic and sincere participation in life, completed this with his bravery and sacrifice participation in the war and joined the army of immortals. We promise once again that we will definitely make the struggle of our comrade Rojger, who has instructed his comrades to fight harder, with his martyrdom as well as his struggle.
