LONDON – Yesterday in UK, the Kurdish student organizations across London collaborated to organize an educational event analyzing the current state of affairs in Kurdistan and in Europe. During the education, a member of JXK/TCS spoke about the recent massacre that took place in Paris, how France has failed the Kurds and the historical and political factors involved in the situation.
Another young women speaker from KJAR also spoke about the situation concerning the womens liberation movement in Rojhilat, and what can we learn from the international conspiracy and political interests of Turkey’s allies. The event ended with student questions and sharing of experiences of youth in diaspora. Students agreed that the answer to liberation and resistance is rooted in having the willpower and determination to educate and organize yourself and your community. They stated:
“Our revenge against massacre and femicide, will be the womens liberation. The Kurdish identity is inherently a political one and we must embrace the tasks that lay in front of us: get organize and stand against transnational repression, and Turkey’s fascist war against women and the Kurdish people.”
