BEHDINAN – Every day since 14 April 2022, when the fascist Turkish army launched an invasion operation in the Zap area, we have been listening to the guerrilla’s daily combat techniques. In these developments, which are also reflected in the news of the agency, attention is drawn to the actions and enemy orientations carried out in the Çemço resistance areas, especially in the last three months. Kale Çemço Hill, which is connected to the Çemço resistance areas, which is constantly hit by tanks, howitzers, heavy weapons and warplanes every day, continues to resist.
Çemço is a region in the middle of the guerrilla’s provinces in the Medya Defense areas. Kale Çemço is an important hill located in the middle of strategic hills such as Werxelê, Şehîd Adıl, Karker, Şehîd Şahin. Therefore, when the fascist Turkish army launched an invasion operation, especially on the Werxelê, Karker, and Şehîd Şahin hills, Kale Çemço played a very important role in the back defense of these hills. Since the first day of the war, the guerrillas positioned on this hill have carried out dozens of actions so far by controlling the Turkish soldiers trying to position themselves on the land. The military performance of the guerrilla at the Kale Çemço position had great contributions, especially in the resistances that broke out in the Werxelê and Zap areas. The guerrillas located here both coordinated the resistance on the hills bordering them and supported their comrades with their actions. At the same time, they made their preparations against a possible ground operation by the enemy against their own positions.
THERE IS NOT A SINGLE TREE LEFT IN KALE ÇEMÇO WITHOUT A BOILER PIECE
Until the third month of the occupation operation, the Turkish army did not carry out a land operation here. However, the Çemço area has been the target of intense air strikes and hits from border posts since the first day of the operation, due to the support they provided to the resistance that emerged in the areas of Werxelê and Şehîd Şahin. On Kale Çemço Hill, which has been hit thousands of times by howitzers, heavy weapons and warplanes since the first day of the operation, not a single tree or piece of rock remained untouched by a cauldron or howitzer from the summit to the slopes. The guerrillas in this position carried out heavy weapon actions under heavy aircraft strikes so that the enemy would not use chemical weapons on their comrades on Werxelê and Şehîd Şahin Hill.
As can be seen in the images taken after the action, the Turkish army is intensely bombarding Kale Çemço hill with both tanks and heavy weapons and howitzers, and burning the land. Against the face of a single bullet fired by the guerrilla, the guerrilla camera best reveals the state of the Turkish soldiers bombarding the hills with tons of bombs.
HONOR RESISTANCE IN THE TUNNELS OF MARTYR ARJIN AND MARTYR ÜMİT AFFILIATE TO ÇEMÇO
By July, the invading Turkish army entered the Çemço resistance areas with tanks, under the attacks of warplanes and the intensity of reconnaissance planes. The invading Turkish army, which headed for the Martyr Ümit and Martyr Arjin war tunnels connected to the Çemço resistance areas, undersigned the immoral attacks it carried out here, as in other areas. In the Martyr Hope War Tunnels, only one team of guerrillas resisted the Turkish army’s tanks, chemical gases and surrender calls for 2 months. The mercenaries of the Turkish army called to the guerrillas resisting in the tunnels almost every day and called for immoral surrender, saying, ‘We know that you are few in number, do not resist, if you surrender, we will make you live like kings’. However, the guerrillas who resisted under very, very difficult conditions here, they knew how to spit in the face of these gangs with their actions every time. For 2 months, they continued their resistance without a moment’s hesitation, without giving in to any attack and without kneeling before their enemies. Turkish soldiers, who came in front of the tunnels with tanks, suffered dozens of losses here.
THEY DID NOT LEFT THE WEAPON OF Martyr Çiya RUBAR
Another stronghold in the Çemço area was the Martyr Arjin War Tunnels. The guerrillas here also carried out very effective actions against the Turkish army, both on the ground and in the war tunnels, during the 2-month resistance. Çiya Rubar (Duçem Çelik), one of the YJA Star guerrillas who led the resistance here, was martyred as a result of the banned explosives and chemical gases used by the Turkish army. Martyr Çiya Rubar’s comrades, who carried out a comprehensive action here to avenge his death, did not leave his weapon on the ground. In this action that took place in August, the insurgents went to the funerals of soldiers and confiscated their weapons and many military equipment.
A NEW BASÊN ZAGROSÊ SYNDROME AFTER ŞIKEFTA BRINDARA: KALE ÇEMÇO
The Turkish army, which planned to seize the castle Çemço hill and completely liquidate the Çemço resistance areas, was almost stuck on the unruly rocks of this hill. Kale Çemço Hill, with its steep slopes and cliffs, became a shield for the guerrilla. The Turkish army, which has been trying to land on this hill every time for months, has still not been able to land soldiers on this hill in the 9th month of the war as a result of the effective interventions of the guerrilla. In 9 months, many Sikorsky and Kobra helicopters were hit here. The commanders of the Turkish army, who could not land any soldiers in the area, are pouring out instructions upon instructions to keep this place under bombardment for 24 hours, as if they had gone mad. In the attacks carried out here, the Turkish army carried out a nature massacre. However, a group of guerrillas who resisted all these sanctions here did not bow to the enemy for 9 months and continue to protect their positions.
