NEWS CENTER – HPG Press Center announced today that 11 freedom guerrillas have been martyred as a result of the invading Turkish state’s use of chemical weapons. Thereupon, Yekîtiya Jinên Ciwan descended on the fields in Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger Qamishlo city, while Tevgera Xwendekarên Democratic members were in action in Kobanê. In Athens Tevgera Ciwanan Şoreşger also took the streets of the city.
QAMISHLO
In the action held in Qamishlo, a march to the youth camp started from Osman Sabri Junction. During the march, the youth raised the photographs of 11 martyrs who were martyred with chemical weapons, PKK flags and Leader Apo’s flags. Ronahi Hisên delivered a speech on behalf of Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger and stated that they would protect the guerrilla resistance.
KOBANE
Today, a march was held in Kobanê under the leadership of Tevgera Xwendekarên Democratic against the use of chemical weapons and invasion attacks. The youth chanted slogans of “Martyr Namir” throughout the protest.
ATHENS
The march that started in Syntagma Square in the evening continued until Monastriyaki Square with torches and slogans. Making a statement on behalf of the Greek TCŞ, Sinan Öztürk said, “While the pain of our 17 HPG guerrilla friends was still fresh, we learned that 11 more guerrillas were martyred today. HPG has declared that documents will be shared with all international institutions upon request. By calling on the institutions, especially the OPCW, to be neutral in substance, not in word. We want the masses in Greece and everywhere to react to this inhumane situation.” said.
The march, which attracted great attention of the public with torches and slogans that did not stop throughout the march, ended with applause by inviting all young people to the Turkish Consulate, which will be held at 17:00 on 29 December, against chemical attacks.
