NEWS CENTER – The fascist regime of Iran continues its policy of massacres as the uprisings and rebellion spread and persist throughout Iran and Rojhilat. Many young women and youth have been arrested, are being tortured or their fate is completely unclear. The people of Rojhilat and Iran are making history by marching resolutely against the regime of male domination, violence and oppression and their anger is only heightened by the regime’s crimes.
The 17-year-old schoolgirl Sonya Sharifi, who was arrested at the beginning of the uprising and was detained for two months, was threatened with the death penalty by the Iranian regime. Reportedly, the security forces severely beat Sharifi during her arrest. Security interrogators forced her to “confess” about making Molotov cocktails and writing slogans.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Abdanan and Ilam did not provide the family with a detailed answer regarding the status of Sharifi’s case. During this period they refused to provide the young girl with legal counsel and said she was accused of “enmity against God” (moharebeh).
After it became known that she was to be sentenced to death because, young people stood up to gain her rights and freedom, the Iranian regime was threatened, especially in digital media. Above all, the people in Abdanan showed recordings and photos of their weapons and threatened the Iranian regime if this young woman was murdered, there would be an armed uprising.
