MEXMÛR – A young man named Rojhat Altürk and a young woman named Kajin Özek living in the Martyr Rustem Cudî Camp made evaluations to our agency against the aggravated torture and isolation system against Rêber Apo.
Rojhat Altürk drew attention to the isolation developed on Önder Apo and expressed the following words;
“If we are going to talk about the isolation developed on Leader Apo, it is necessary to look at the liquidation plans developed over the last six years for the Kurdish people and the Freedom Movement. It was the beginning of the isolation project on Leader Apo. If we look at history, the capture of Leader Apo in 99 and the last 7 years of isolation means the liquidation of the Freedom Movement and the Kurdish people. Because the aim was to first isolate Leader Apo and then to achieve results by depriving the Kurdish people and the Freedom Movement.
What are we going to do here as a people, especially as young people? We will protect and enlarge the created idea at the highest level. Leader Apo’s ideas are the most important and focal point for us as young people. We need to enlarge Leader Apo’s ideas and absorb them into our personality. Only in this way can we achieve the result. Otherwise, we know from our history that many resistances developed, but they could only go up to a point. Because they could not protect their ideas sufficiently.
In the continuation of his speech, Altürk talked about the duties and responsibilities of the youth against the torture and isolation system and made the following statements;
“Our duty as young people is to embrace this idea and take a firm stance. The Kurdish people proved in 99 that Leader Apo is our red line. What is desired here is the role and mission of the year 99. As young people, we should take this as our basis. We must shoulder the tasks that the youth assumed in 99, in 2003-2004. Inner betrayal existed in 99, and it existed in 2004 as well. The most radical attitude was shown against them. Now, as Kurdish youth, these should be done.
Lastly, Rojhat Altürk stated the following in his speech;
As a people, we should be those who live history, not those who are a part of history. Until now, the Kurdish people have always come out of a situation that has come to some degree and suffered defeat after another.
Our call to all young people who live with the passion of freedom is to fight until the end against this occupation. I especially appeal to the youth of Kurdistan; Let’s put forward our claim to life against colonial hegemonic states and lift the isolation on Leader Apo and liberate our Leader.
Speaking on the same subject, Kajin Özek drew attention to the heavy isolation on Leader Apo;
“As it is known, there is a heavy isolation on our Leader. With this isolation, it is desired to separate the Leadership and the people. Because our Leader is the leader of the Kurdish people who want to live with their own culture everywhere. For this reason, the Leadership wanted the Kurdish people to express themselves freely in their own language like any other nation. However, the enemy wanted to separate the Leader from the people against this, he did not want the Leader’s thoughts and ideas to remain on the society. That’s why we see such an isolation on the Leadership even now.
The enemy is so afraid that it is not allowed to talk to the Leader even for 1-2 minutes. Every word of the leadership is a hope for the Kurdish people. That is why our enemy is so cruel and so ignorant. He wants to keep his opinion within four walls. As we can see, the Kurdish people and Kurdish youth have reached this stage with the leadership’s thought and philosophy.
In the continuation of his speech, Özek pointed out that the duties and missions of the youth and the people should be fulfilled in the face of isolation and said;
“Our leadership has brought us to a point where we can stand with our own language and culture. Therefore, whatever we do as young people is insufficient. We will do whatever it takes to be worthy of Leader Apo. We must live in every moment and with Leader Apo’s philosophy and ideas. Every young person should do what he can. As both young women and young people, we must educate ourselves and protect the Leadership in every process.”
