Our comrade Berfîn was born and raised in a patriotic family in Dirbesiyê, Rojavayê Kurdistan. The family of our comrade Berfîn has been in the ranks of the struggle since the beginning of the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, and has become an exemplary, patriotic family with their work and sacrifices. After the start of the Rojava Freedom Revolution, they took part in the revolutionary work, and they have made and are giving great effort to bring the ideas of Leader Apo to life. Our comrade Berfîn, with the advantage of being brought up in such a valuable family, has recognized the PKK from an early age. Especially in the early 2000s, when our comrades were in Rojava and were working, they had the opportunity to get to know many of our comrades, and they were deeply affected by their life stances. The mountain and guerrilla life described by these comrades attracted the attention of our comrade Berfin. Therefore, she dreamed of joining the guerrilla ranks, even though he was still a child.
With the development of the Rojava Freedom Revolution, our comrade Berfîn joined the ranks of the revolution with the responsibility of being a patriotic Kurdish woman, and she contributed a lot in the Rojava Freedom Revolution, where women’s color was at the forefront. She took part in many moves and wars, especially between 2011 and 2016, when gang attacks were intense. She has been an exemplary militant by trying to fulfill his duty without hesitation wherever and whatever the task is against the attacks developed against the gains of our people. Our comrade Berfîn, who became a commander in a short time due to her success in the war, increased the pace of this struggle day by day and succeeded in becoming a leading female commander. Our comrade Berfîn, who had the opportunity to see the fact that the Rojava Freedom Revolution is also a women’s revolution, through practical studies, she constantly strived to be worthy of Leader Apo, the architect of this revolution, and to deepen his philosophy. Our comrade Nûman was born in a patriotic family in Merîvan, one of the important resistance areas of Rojhilatê Kurdistan. Like all our people from Rojhilat, the family of our comrade Nûman is committed to Kurdish culture, tradition and national values; their hearts were with the Kurdistan guerrilla fighting for the freedom of our people. He believed that the freedom struggle waged by our party would definitely liberate our people and save our country Kurdistan from occupation. He understood this from the self-sacrificing war style that the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla developed without any self-interest and in this context, their uncompromising stance against the invaders. For this reason, this valuable family has always embraced our struggle for freedom, which has developed under the leadership of Leader Apo, with a great level of consciousness. This precious family raised our comrade Nûman with social morality and culture, as well as his other children, and enabled him to have patriotic characteristics. For this reason, our comrade Nûman sympathized with the guerrilla from an early age and raised his participation in the guerrilla as a childhood dream.
When the attacks against the Rojava Freedom Revolution, in which our people took the first step of a free country, which has been our people’s dream for hundreds of years, began, our comrade Nûman was impressed by the epic resistance of our Rojava people and fighters, especially in Kobanê. The fact that thousands of young people from Rojhilat to Bashur, from Bakur to Kurds abroad and friends of our people poured into the resistance lines and fought against the gangs, and as a patriotic youth, our comrade Nûman turned to the resistance lines. On this basis, our comrade Nûman turned his face to the rebellious and free mountains of Kurdistan and joined the guerrilla ranks, which was his childhood dream.
