BEHDINAN – HPG Press Liaison Center said, “The comprehensive invasion operation launched by the Turkish army on April 14 has hit the walls of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla’s epic resistance and the will of the self-sacrificing, and failed to achieve its goal. The invading army, which cannot protect itself from the effective actions of the guerrilla and suffers great losses, continues to commit war crimes and uses chemical weapons. Although the Turkish army’s use of banned bombs and chemical weapons has been documented and proven, the fascist army still continues to use chemical weapons in the Medya Defense Zones, even though the special minister of war Hulusi Akar hypocritically denies the war crimes he has committed. On 7, 8 and 9 December, only the Martyr Botan battle positions in the Çemço Resistance Area were bombed at least 150 times with chemical weapons. As a result of the actions carried out by our forces, two invaders were punished.
The details of the actions and attacks carried out are as follows:
As part of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign, in the Zap region;
- On December 9, at 11:00 and 13:10 hours, the invaders in the Martyr Adil Resistance Area in Çemço were shot by our mobile teams with heavy weapons and 2 invaders were punished.
Within the framework of the Cenga Xabûre Martyr War Maraş Revolutionary Campaign;
- Between 08:10 and 10:20 on 9 December, the invaders in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were hit 3 times with heavy weapons by our YJA Star moving teams.
- Between 13:30 and 16:30 on 9 December, the invaders in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were hit 4 times with heavy weapons by our mobile teams.
- In the evening of 9 December, our mobile teams intervened twice to the Skorsky helicopters that wanted to land on the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area. After the interventions, the helicopters had to leave the area.
The attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army with banned bombs and chemical weapons;
- From 7 December to 9 December, the Martyr Botan battle positions in the Çemço Resistance Area were bombarded with chemical weapons at least 150 times. Chemical weapons attacks of the invading Turkish army against the Martyr Botan battle positions are still continuing.
The attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army;
- On December 9, the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area and the Rostê area of Xakurkê were bombed 5 times with warplanes.
- On 9 December, Girê Amediye and Girê Cûdî Resistance Areas were bombed 10 times with attack helicopters.
- On December 9, Çemço, Girê Amediyê, Girê Cûdî, Girê FM and Gire Bihar Resistance Areas were bombed dozens of times with howitzers, mortars, tanks and heavy weapons.”
PAPERS DISTRIBUTED ON GEVER DO NOT BELONG TO OUR POWERS
Stating that the leaflets distributed in Gever do not belong to their forces, HPG said, “In the Gever region of Colemêrg, using the name HPG and naming some people in the region, threatening leaflets entitled “Autumn Spring Operation in Memory of Martyr Memyan and Martyr Rozer” were distributed. We state that the declarations in question do not belong to our forces, that they are written in the style of special war personnel and that our people do not respect them.”
