BEHDÎNAN – The statement of the HPG press center on the ongoing attacks by the Turkish occupiers against the Medya Defense Zones and the actions of the guerrillas is as follows:
“As a result of the measures taken by our forces, 2 occupiers were punished.
The occupying Turkish soldiers bombarded the guerrilla positions with chemical weapons, burned plastic and car tires, and directed the toxic fumes towards the guerrilla positions. At the same time, the resistance areas were bombed four times by fighter planes and dozens of times by howitzers, tanks and heavy weapons.”
The actions and attacks are detailed below;
“In the Zap region within the Bazên Zagros Revolutionary Movement;
- At 10:00 am on December 25, our mobile teams fired heavy weapons at the attackers in the Çemço region of Şêladizê subdistrict of Amediyê district.
In the Xakurkê region within the Bazên Zagros Revolutionary Movement;
- At 03:00 on December 25, our mobile teams fired at the attackers in the Girê Şehîd Axîn resistance area in Xakurkê with heavy weapons.
- On December 25 at 1 p.m. the occupiers in the Girê Şehîd Şahan resistance area were fired at with heavy weapons by our mobile YJA Star teams and 2 occupiers were punished.
- At 1:20 p.m. on December 25, the attackers in the Girê Şehîd Axîn resistance area were fired upon with heavy weapons by our mobile YJA Star teams.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with prohibited bombs and chemical weapons;
- On December 25, the positions of the resistance guerrillas in the Çemço region in the Şêladizê district of the Amediyê district were bombed seven times with chemical weapons. At the same time, the toxic fumes from burning plastics and car tires were directed towards the guerrilla positions.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army;
- On December 25, the Werxelê resistance area was bombed four times by warplanes.
- On December 25, the Girê FM resistance area and the guerrilla positions around the Çemço region and the village of Sîda in the Şêladizê subdistrict of the Amediyê district were bombed dozens of times with howitzers, tanks and heavy weapons.”
