In our statement dated November 27, 2022, we shared the information that the invading Turkish army was hit heavily during the revolutionary operations carried out in Girê Cûdî Resistance Area on November 25, 2022, 19 invaders were punished, and that our comrade Media, who had great labor in the victory of the action carried out during the revolutionary operations, joined the caravan of immortals. Our comrade Media, who was an exemplary militant of the Fedayeen army by walking the line of victory shown by Martyr Zîlan, and who left a great legacy of struggle with his life and fighting style, is a worthy militant of our Party PKK and one of our pioneering young commanders who strongly infused the Women’s Freedom Ideology into their practice. Our comrade, the follower of Martyr Sara and Martyr Ruken, will always enlighten us throughout our struggle.

Amed, which has always had an important position in the history of Kurdistan with its commitment to freedom and the resistances it developed for it, has also been an important center in the history of the resistance of the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, which developed under the leadership of our party PKK. The establishment of our party, the PKK, here, the protection of our people’s honor and the PKK’s identity by resisting the Apoist self-defense vanguard cadres against the enemy’s brutality in the dungeons in a way that is rare in human history, has always ensured that our people take the line of resistance and serhildan in Amed.
Our comrade was also born in a valuable family that is connected to the culture of our people and respected for their patriotic stance and nourished by Amed’s tradition of resistance. The uncle of comrade Medya remained in the dungeons of the enemy and humanity witnessed foreign practices. Our comrade Kevnar Amed – Nurettin Alkan, who is from the same family and is the uncle of our comrade Medya, joined the caravan of immortals in 1994. In the process, many of our precious family members joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle.
Growing up in such a patriotic family devoted to Kurdish culture, our comrade Medya had undoubtedly heard of our party PKK and the Kurdistan guerrilla from an early age. She started to understand and get to know our Party since her youth; directed towards certain inquiries and searches. Especially the fact that she lived in a city where inhumane attacks in the Dungeons of Amed took place, the enemy still maintains the policy of genocide against our people and our people take part in the struggle against it, the guerrilla’s relentless resistance against the occupation by shielding her chest has caused deep-rooted questioning in our comrade Medya. The role assigned to women in society and the status of slavery also attracted the attention of our comrade Medya and caused her to experience contradictions. She definitely did not surrender to the traditional approaches of the society with the concentrations she experienced, she chose freedom. Convinced that she should take part in this struggle as a patriotic and young Kurdish woman, comrade Medya joined the ranks of the struggle in 2012. She was first involved in youth work, has influenced many Kurdish youth with her sincere and natural personality and attracted them to the ranks of the resistance. Our comrade, who has achieved great success in the works she has carried out, has never been content with what she had and has always set his sights on greater success. Our comrade Medya believed that the enemy should only be spoken in a language he understands, has been involved in self-defense activities and has become the enemy’s nightmare by taking part in many actions in cities.
After her successful practices, our comrade Medya, who joined the guerrilla ranks in 2015, especially due to the ISIS gangs attacking our people everywhere, moved to the Shengal area in the same year after receiving the training of new fighters. Our comrade Medya participated in the war against the gangs in the Shengal area, gained an important war experience. Again, the Êzidî people have witnessed the suffering and tragedies experienced by our people, and the people have begun to understand our reality better. Despite all the pain our people went through in this process, the Apoist woman believed that as a militant she had to lift more burdens and raise her struggle more. For this, she constantly focused and reached important results. Our comrade Media, has been involved in many important tasks and works in the Shengal area, gave confidence to all her comrades with his stance and work tempo. For this reason, it has managed to become an exemplary YJA Star guerrilla.
Our comrade Media always seek to enlarge her freedom struggle, has been involved in Hêzên Taybet’s activities, believing that she could achieve this best in Hêzên Taybet. She had succeeded in gaining the love and respect of all her comrades with her self-sacrifice, sincerity and devotion to her comrades in basic circuit training. She aimed to become a militant in the line of Zîlan by improving herself day by day, and she had an important effort in this direction. Our comrade has always kept the Women’s Freedom Struggle on the agenda, both in her stance in life and in her discussions with her comrades, encouraging all her comrades to concentrate in this direction and deepening themselves on the line of freedom. Together with all her comrades, she always kept herself ready for a possible war situation and she worked in many fields from the construction of war tunnels to infrastructure works. Believing that these preparations will bring victory, he continued his work with great morale, energy and enthusiasm.
Our comrade Medya, who was one of the first comrades who took part in the resistance positions during the attacks launched by the enemy against the west of the Zap, later took part in the mobile teams. The fact that she was prepared for the developing war situation and the war experience she gained in Shengal enabled our comrade Media to fulfill important duties during the war process. Martyrdoms as a result of the attacks of the fascist Turkish state further sharpened the anger of our comrade Media towards the enemy.
Participating in the revolutionary operation carried out in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area along the Zîlan line, with the self-sacrificing spirit of Sara and Rûkens, our comrade Medya, together with our comrades Adar and Heqî, went against the enemy with a self-sacrificing style. Our comrade Media, who played a role in the punishment of many enemy soldiers, was injured in the clashes but did not take a step back in any way. Our comrade Medya, who took sacrifice as a lifestyle, never took a step back despite being seriously injured, and after fighting selflessly until the last moment, she reached martyrdom by detonating her own bomb.
One of the leading militants of the Cenga Xabûrê Martyr War Maraş Revolutionary Campaign, our comrade Medya, with her life and war, duly carried the flag of martyrdom of Martyr Sara and Martyr Rukens and followed the line of the martyrs. We express our condolences to all our patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially the valuable family of our comrade Medya, who devoted every moment of his life to the struggle and struggle for the freedom of our people, and we reiterate our promise that we will crown the struggle of our self-sacrificing comrade with victory.

- On December 2, at 19:10, the invaders in the Martyr Adil Resistance Area in Çemço were shot by our YJA Star moving teams with an assassination tactic and 1 invader was punished.

- On December 2, Girê FM bombed Sîda, Çemço, Girê Amediyê and Girê Cûdî Resistance Area with howitzers, tanks and heavy weapons dozens of times.”
