BEHDÎNAN – KCK Executive Council member Xebat Andok spoke to ANF news agency on the occasion of the PKK’s founding anniversary.
On the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the PKK, Xebat Andok stated that the leader of the oppressed societies, Abdullah Öcalan, defined the PKK as the party of the Şehîds. Recalling that the PKK was formed after Haki Karer’s martyrdom, Andok went on to explain:
“There is the reality of the Şehîds at the core and essence of the PKK. The source of the reality of the Şehîds is undoubtedly Rêber APO. It is the reality of Rêber APO that forms the basis of the reality of the Şehîds and has created the achievements we have achieved so far. Because Rêber APO has appeared on the world stage as the Fedaî of the society of freedom, as the Fedaî of democratic and community values.
On this basis he created his organization and his hevals. His Hevals also fully associated with him in this direction and took the Chairman’s attitude as a basis for himself. In this way, the Chairman revealed the reality of the Şehîds. The reality of the Chairman and the Şehîds have nourished each other and have come to this day. Our party has always remained loyal to our Şehîds. This commitment has always been at the highest level. Each martyrdom is the basis for a new breakthrough and development. Rêber APO is the one who created it. Rêber APO created great values in the PKK to achieve new breakthroughs and successes after each martyrdom to this day.
All our achievements, the values created are due to the Şehîds. There is no development without the efforts of the Şehîds. All successes and victories are the work of the Şehîds. It is thanks to the Şehîds that there are millions of people who are honorable, decent and dignified, who fight for their existence, who resist oppression, exploitation and occupation, who do not bow down and who are strong-willed. We are proud that we follow the path of the Şehîds and fight on the same line. Our welatparêz society has also remained loyal to the Şehîds from the first moment to the present day and has followed them. The fallen Hevals are the children of this society. Therefore, a very strong connection was established between the Şehîds and the Kurdish population. That continues to this day. Our society is proud of its Şehîds and does not submit to oppression and persecution because of the battle line they lead. This fact has made our society a model society in the whole world.”
THIS WAR IS A WAR FOR FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY
Later in the conversation, Xebat Andok said: “Although we have made historic gains with the reality of Rêber APO and the Şehîds, unfortunately we still have not achieved the victory that we wanted” and explained the reason for this with the following words:“Because we have problems of existence and freedom. Kurdish society is exposed to great dangers. A third world war is taking place in the Middle East and Kurdistan. They want to massacre Kurdish society in this Third World War. Because they murdered Armenians, Assyrians and Ezidis in World War I, they murdered Jews in World War II, and in World War III they want to massacre Kurdish society. To be successful, they first want to destroy the PKK, the leading force in Kurdish society. With the liquidation of the PKK, they will massacre the Kurdish population. They consider it necessary to crush the freedom guerrillas in order to liquidate the PKK.
Because of this, a great war is being waged in Zap, Metina, Avaşin, Heftanîn, Xakûrkê and many other areas. Chemical weapons, tactical nuclear weapons are being used, the enemy is committing all kinds of crimes against humanity. The Turkish state even burns its own soldiers in this war. The greatest war in our history is taking place right now. Undoubtedly, this war will bring Şehîds. Although there are very limited options, humanity and Kurdish society see very well what kind of war is being fought. Our organization has already defined this war as a war of existence and non-existence. In this war, the freedom guerillas draw their strength, morale, spirituality and will from the reality of the Şehîds.
There is no doubt that our society, our friends and the forces of freedom and democracy have a great responsibility in this war. Because this war is a war of freedom and democracy. We believe that our society, our friends, all forces of freedom and democracy, all fighting forces, especially women and youth, will be bound by their historical duties and responsibilities and that they will successfully fulfill all their responsibilities to the occupying powers . Congratulations again to Rêber APO, on the anniversary of the founding of our party PKK, to our welatparêz society, to our comrades and hevals, to the forces of freedom and democracy.”
