NEWS CENTER – Rêber APO founded the PKK with a small group of young people in 1978. The first steps that the PKK took were the steps of the young cadres, were the steps of the youth. Rêber APO said, “We started young, we will win young!” because, as Rêber APO made clear, the PKK is a youth party, a party of the youth and a party that fights against the old, gerontocratic system of capitalist modernity, patriarchy and the nation state under the leadership of the youth.
Since the imperialist, hegemonic, fascist systems want to abuse the youth for their purposes, want to enslave society through the youth and women, want to rob society of its future and energy, the youth, conscious of its role as the vanguard of society, is fighting against this exploitative, slave-owning massacre system. All over the world, the resistance and struggle of the youth against the destructive system can be found, whether on a small or large scale, the youth resists the old, modern system that keeps society in captivity.
Because the youth has this characteristic, the youth is the target of attacks and methods of oppression, exploitation and assimilation everywhere in the world. That is why in many places of the world the youth is in a state that does not correspond to the youth. Under the attacks of psychological and special war, which the ruling regimes use to deceive the youth and make them perish on a psychological level, many youth have been influenced and have actually perished. Have grown old in a system that makes people age. Living a life that cannot be called life and is worse than death.
The PKK as a party of the youth opposes this. By organizing the militant, revolutionary youth, the PKK, under the leadership of its ideological leader Rêber APO, draws a third way, a way out of the dark depths of power mentalities. Is a light, a ray of sunshine that makes the eyes see, warms the hearts and illuminates the way out of this annihilation.
Thousands of young people have sacrificed themselves for this path, have dedicated their hearts and souls to this struggle for freedom and humanity, and have fought with everything they had against an enemy who, with the methods of fascist gerontocracy, can count the old world powers behind them as support. The youth has neither means nor power, what the youth has is its conviction, its faith, its determination and from this it develops its strength.
For 44 years, the youth has been fighting a battle that many would say cannot be won, the enemy is too big, too strong, has too many means and possibilities. But the youth have been drawing the paths of success in the books of revolutionary history for 44 years. These paths have been drawn with their blood and have created values that cannot be more sacred. These paths have been paved with heroism that seeks its equal in the world and that is why this youth has neither perished nor lost in the face of this outdated enemy, but has achieved great successes and brought the enemy into a situation where it can only bite like a doomed dog.
The power of the youth, is underestimated in the general public and with the means of special war, the youth was and is made to believe that they cannot do anything. They are trying to take away the youth’s hope and faith so that they can control them and mold them the way they want. But without the youth nothing runs in this system. The youth are the workers who keep the economy going, the youth are the students who push science forward, the youth are the soldiers who fight the wars of the old, the youth are the explorers and inventors who discover new ways and methods. If you look around, you will not find a place where youth is not at the service of these outdated systems, except where decisions are made, in the centers of power. The youth has been declared to be the foot people, the working masses that can be exploited according to their interests, the youth has become cannon fodder, sent without any conscience into a war that cannot be won and of which the youth itself has nothing, except a few deceptive words.
If the youth free themselves from this system, this system will perish. If the youth organize themselves and fulfill their role in terms of social liberation, this system will perish and society will gain a new strength.
If these youth educate themselves and go into resistance, they can win. This is shown by the PKK’s path, which is built on 44 years of experience and has learned many important lessons from its history, as well as from the history of revolutionary movements around the world. Whoever takes the PKK, especially Rêber APO as a model, learns from it and understands it, will quickly understand that the apoist militant personality is a personality that wins.
That is why the PKK is attacked from all sides. That is why the imperialist states are uniting around a fascist leader who obviously commits massacres and aims at massacres. That is why towards the Kurdish society are the worst enemies, friend, to wipe out the Kurdish society, a society in which the youth has taken the lead.
Because Rêber APO realized this and started to educate and organize the youth at a young age. Started to prepare the youth for their important role, he has become the enemy of these imperialist states. Rêber APO has given back to the youth their strength, has instilled in the youth the hope that the systems have sucked out of the youth for decades. It has lit the fire of the youth, a fire that cannot be destroyed so easily.
Therefore, any attack on the PKK, its militants and especially on Rêber APO is first and foremost an attack on the youth. That is why any criminalization of the movement, its symbols and slogans is an attack on the youth. Whoever attacks the youth must expect an appropriate response. Whoever criminalizes the youth must expect an appropriate response.
Because the youth with honor and dignity, knows that no one can hold anything against the youth, if the youth educate and organize themselves properly. With the right consciousness, attitude towards life and organization, there are no obstacles, no barriers and no limits on the path of youth. The invincible energy of the youth is released with the right organization, the right education, the right thoughts and these thoughts come from the PKK, come from Rêber APO and the Şehîds. These thoughts come from the 44 years of freedom struggle of Kurdistan, have lit the fire in Kurdistan like Kawa Hesinkar and proclaimed the liberation. These fires are now lit all over the world, hill by hill, mountain top by mountain top, calling for the struggle for freedom and humanity.
The signs of the times should be recognized. The enemy is the enemy that he is. An old man and this old man is defeated by the hand of youth.
