BEHDINAN – Young people who joined the guerrilla ranks to avenge the death of 17 guerrillas who were martyred by chemical weapons spoke to our agency and gave details of their reasons for joining.
Speaking to our agency, the young people stated that the guerrillas who were martyred by chemical weapons were guerrillas fighting against ISIS gangs in Rojava and Northern and Eastern Syria. Stating that this is why they joined the guerrilla ranks, the young people stated that the revenge of the 7 guerrillas who were martyred as a result of the chemical weapons of the occupying Turkish state can only be realized by joining the guerrilla ranks.
Speaking to our agency, Zagros Kobanê stated the following;
“My name is Zagros Kobanê, I joined the guerrilla ranks from Kobanê. A while ago, 17 of our friends were martyred. Now 20 of us have joined the guerrilla ranks for our self-defense.
In 2015, ISIS attacked the city of Kobanê and the whole people developed their defense against it. Now the occupying Turkish state is using nuclear weapons against the guerrillas. As Kurdish youth, we joined the guerrilla ranks against the enemy.”
Similarly, Nujîyan Zelal, who spoke to our agency, explained the reason why he came to the mountains of Kurdistan
“My name is Nujîyan Zelal, I am from the city of Tirbêspiyê. My reason for joining the guerrilla is to avenge the martyred guerrillas. Since April 14, the enemy has been attacking the mountains of Kurdistan. Despite attacking with chemical weapons, they are helpless against the guerrilla resistance. Finally, 17 of our friends were martyred in this way. These friends of ours fought against ISIS gangs in Rojava. That is why the fascist Turkish state wants to avenge ISIS.”
Guerrilla Nujiyan Zelal made the following call to young women;
“We have decided to join the guerrilla ranks as Rojavan youth to avenge our martyrs. My call to all young women is to leave unnecessary things and join the guerrilla ranks. Come join the guerrilla ranks, avenge every martyr and claim your land.”
Jamal Sayeed, an Arab who joined the guerrilla ranks, also spoke to our agency, saying:
“My name is Jamal Sayed, I am from Raqqa. I joined the guerrilla ranks after seeing the massacre carried out by the fascist Turkish state. These forces that protect the people have helped all peoples and liberated them from ISIS occupation and liberated our lands. The occupying Turkish state organized ISIS and sent them to our lands. That is why we must join the guerrilla ranks.
These policies are immoral and inhumane. Everyone who knows this should come and join the guerrilla ranks. We need to help them as they help us.
Today the occupying Turkish state wants to disturb our peace and spread Neo-Ottomanism. We, as Arab, Turkish and Kurdish peoples, do not accept this. For this, it is necessary to fight against the fascist Turkish state. My call to Kurdish and Arab youth is that every young person who wants freedom should join the guerrilla ranks and liberate their country.
Let us not forget how the guerrilla protected us by standing by our side against ISIS.”
