ATHENS – A demonstration against the use of chemical weapons was organized in Athens, led by the TCŞ youth. The demonstration started at Syntagma and ran to the train station.
During the demonstration the following was expressed:
“The fascist Turkish regime, through the guerrillas of the Freedom of Kurdistan, wants to bring to a conclusion the genocide of the Kurdish population with the help of chemical weapons, which have been used in Zap, Avaşin and Metina for more than six months. The fascist Turkish regime uses five different chemicals that are banned internationally, while the international laws and the OPCW, in charge of investigating the use of chemical weapons, play the role of three monkeys (see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing) .”
The Revolutionary Youth in Athens also made it clear that the mere use of these banned weapons shows how great the defeat of the fascist Turkish regime is and further explained: “Against the fascist mentality that is carrying out such a brutal attack, the Kurdish and international youth join the ranks of the guerrillas, the result will be the crushing of this fascism.”
