ROME – A large-scale demonstration took place in Rome, the capital of Italy, in which mostly internationalist friends protested against the fascist Erdogan regime.
During the demonstration, the historical resistance of the guerrillas, as well as the resistance of the revolutionary, fighting societies in Rojava were saluted. In addition, the flags of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, PKK, were waved and flags commemorated Şehdîd Sara, Şehîd Rojbîn and Şehîd Ronahî, who were murdered in Paris by the Turkish secret service. A banner read “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” in large letters, referring to the women’s revolution in Rojhilat and Iran, which is based on the ideology of Rêber APO, but also to the male massacre regime in Iran that responded to the rebellion of women with this mentality and murdered hundreds of people on the street.
The demonstration was mostly attended by internationalists, who saluted the banner welcoming the YPJ’s resistance with “Siamo tutti YPJ” (Long live the YPJ).
During the demonstration, leaflets were also distributed to the population drawing attention to the attacks by the fascist AKP-MHP regime with chemical weapons and signatures were collected calling for the PKK to be removed from the list of so-called “terrorist organizations”.
