“The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla carried out a revolutionary operation called Gire Hakkari Martyrs’ Revenge in Girê Hakkari in the Metîna area. This operation was carried out to greet the 44th anniversary of the founding of the PKK. The operation started today at 13:30 in the afternoon and at 14:30. Fierce clashes took place in the enemy positions for an hour.
According to the information we received from guerrilla sources; The action took place in the form of infiltration. The guerrillas entered the enemy positions. In particular, the positions of the invaders on the Martyr Akif and Martyr Zemani hills were destroyed one by one. In this operation, while many invading Turkish soldiers were punished, many weapons and military equipment were confiscated. The remaining weapons and military equipment were burned by the guerrillas.
The invading Turkish army is firing artillery at the operation area.”
