BEHDÎNAN – The press center of the HPG announced:
“Our armed forces carried out a revolutionary operation in the Girê Hakkari resistance area in Metîna to celebrate the 45th year of our party PKK and to avenge all our comrades who, like Heval Nurî Yekta, member of Metîna Provincial Command, used chemical weapons and forbidden bombs were murdered. Our professional teams, using many guerrilla tactics in a coordinated manner, particularly assault, infiltration, assassination and heavy weapons, seized the enemy positions, countering the occupiers with the apoistic Fedaî spirit.
As a result of revolutionary operations and actions carried out by our armed forces, 49 occupiers were punished along with their commanders and 2 occupiers were wounded. At the same time, 17 positions, 2 AT4 guns, 1 grenade launcher, 1 supply depot, 2 Mobesse camera systems, 2 motion-sensitive sensor systems, numerous weapons and military equipment were completely destroyed. 4 MPT-55 infantry rifles, 4 MPT-55 telescopic sights, 1 grenade launcher, 1 spotter, 1 custom-made sniper rifle, 1 thermal imager, 1 telephone, 1 bayonet marked Oğuzhan Alp and 3 power packs were confiscated from the occupiers.
The Turkish occupying army bombed the resistance areas 4 times with prohibited bombs and 2 times with chemical weapons. 16 times with helicopter gunships, dozens of times with howitzers, mortars and heavy weapons ,” the HPG press center said.
The actions and attacks are detailed below:
“In the Zap region within the Bazên Zagros Revolutionary Movement;
- On November 27 at 10:30 am, the occupiers in the Sîda resistance area were fired on by our mobile teams with individual weapons and 1 occupier was punished. Later, the occupiers who wanted to intervene in the action area were also shot at, and 2 occupiers were punished. In this action, 3 occupiers were punished.
- On November 27 at 3:30 p.m., attack helicopters that wanted to bomb the Sîda resistance area were attacked by our mobile teams. After the attacks of our forces, the helicopters had to leave the area.
- On November 27th at 5:30 pm the occupiers in the Şehîd Adil resistance area of Çemço were fired at by our mobile teams from two sides with heavy weapons and 2 occupiers were punished.
Within the revolutionary movement Cenga Xabûrê Şehîd Savaş Maraş;
- On November 26 at 1:30 p.m., a revolutionary operation against the occupiers was launched in the Girê Hakkarî resistance area. As part of the revolutionary operation, the attackers in Girê Şehîd Zemanî were attacked from three sides and effectively hit with shells and medium automatic weapons. Our troops, marching on the attackers with great aggressive spirit, captured 17 enemy positions one by one and punished the attackers inside. Our troops took complete control of Girê Şehîd Zemanî, captured two enemy A4 guns and used them against the attackers, only to destroy them completely. Our troops also captured individual weapons and ammunition from the attackers and used them against the enemy;
- Heval Amed, one of the commanders of the assault column, who attacked the enemy with Fedaî apoist spirit, was wounded, but declared that the Hevals under his command should continue the operation, he himself was wounded and marched towards the enemy. Our Hevals Amed, Binevş and Baran, who led this revolutionary operation and were wounded with great courage during the battle, achieved martyrdom by sacrificially fighting to their last breath.
- Also in Girê Şehîd Akîf and Girê Şehîd Viyan, our forces targeted and effectively hit the occupiers with heavy and individual dual-wield weapons and punished at least 5 occupiers.
- In this revolutionary action, 42 occupiers and their commanders were punished. At the same time, 17 positions, 2 A4 guns, 1 grenade launcher, 1 supply depot, 2 Mobesse camera systems, numerous weapons and military equipment were completely destroyed. 4 MPT-55 infantry rifles, 4 MPT-55 telescopic sights, 1 grenade launcher, 1 spotter, 1 custom-made sniper weapon, 1 thermal imaging binoculars, 1 telephone, 1 bayonet marked Oğuzhan Alp and 3 power packs were confiscated from the occupiers.
- During and after the revolutionary operation, the occupiers tried to stop the advance of our troops, intensively bombarding the operational area with howitzers, mortars and fighter jets, but they were unsuccessful.
- On November 26 at 07:30, 2 motion-sensitive sensor systems that had been set up by the attackers in the Girê Cûdî resistance area to prevent our forces from penetrating were professionally destroyed by our mobile teams.
- On November 27 at 2:20 p.m. the attackers in the Girê Cûdî resistance area were attacked by our mobile teams with heavy weapons.
- On November 27 at 4:30 p.m., the occupiers in the Girê Cûdî resistance area were sniped at by our YJA Star mobile teams and 1 occupier was punished.
- On November 27 at 5:00 p.m., the occupiers in the Girê Cûdî resistance area were fired upon by our mobile teams with individual weapons, 1 occupier was punished and 2 occupiers were injured.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with prohibited bombs and chemical weapons;
- On November 26 and 27, the positions of Girê Şehîd Çekdar in the Girê Cûdî resistance area were bombed four times with prohibited bombs.
- On November 26, the positions of Girê Şehîd Çekdar in the Girê Cûdî resistance area were twice bombed with chemical weapons.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army;
- On November 27, the resistance areas of Kurojahro, Saca, Girê Cûdî and Girê Amediyê were bombed 16 times by helicopter gunships.
- On November 26 and 27, the resistance areas of Girê Hakkarî, Sîda, Çemço, Girê FM and Girê Amediyê were bombed dozens of times with howitzers, heavy weapons and tanks.”
