NAPLES – Under the scope of the “DAY-X” call from RiseUp4Rojava, people continue to demonstrate solidarity and commit actions of civil disobedience in Solidarity to Rojava. Today in Naples dozens of people blocked the turkish airlines on the Naples Airport and shared the following statement:
“Today dozens of people, shouting “Biji Rojava”, blocked the access of Turkish Airlines check-in desk in Naples with a banner with the message “Stop Erdogan war, Defend Rojava” in solidarity to resistance of confederal Revolution.
Since November 19th the military operation “claw sword” was launched by fascist Turkish State, which aims to complete the “safety line” along all Turkish – syrian border, a 700km long front, which means the occupation of liberated territories of the Nordest Syria.
The shells with drones, airs and heavy artillery have targeted the areas of Kobane, Deir-Ez-Zor, Tirbe Spye, Qamishlo, Til Temir and Hasake. In addition to military target, were affected civile structures as hospitals and schools, villages and energy and logistics infrastructure.
Erdogan stated that attack will not be limited to these types of actions, but the war will evolve in large-scale ground invasion on all leberated territories. If solidarity is a weapon let us use it, because It means to really respect all sehid who made this Revolution possible for them and for us.Because their struggle is our struggle. We have the responsability to not remain silent, but we have to defend the democratic, ecologic and femminist Revolution of Nordest Syria.
BIJI BERXWEDANA ROJAVA!
This morning some dozen activists demonstrated in an action that lasted about an hour at the check-in of the Turkish airlines flight at Naples International Airport. As in so many other parts of Italy and Europe, they denounced the bombing and war that Erdogan has intensified against democratic confederalism in northern Syria (Rojava) since November 19 in complicit silence and international hypocrisy. Those same governments and media that extolled (with good reason) the popular resistance of Kurdish women to the patriarchal fascism of Isis are now silent in the face of the fascism of Erdogan and NATO’s second army.
They are silent because of the huge interests related to the arms trade, gas, and refugee segregation in Turkey. All the reasons why even an authoritarian and violent regime has become “friendly.” But they are not silent and will not stand still the women and men around the world who have seen in Rojava’s experience of democratic, feminist and ecological self-government a hope that can speak to the Middle East and beyond about a future of justice beyond the horizon of war. Activists also recalled the student (who previously studied in Naples) and who was arrested in Istanbul last Friday for merely participating in a women’s demonstration for the international Nov. 25. and who is now still detained in a center for foreigners in Istanbul.
On Dec. 9 in Naples there will be a city demonstration starting at 5 p.m. from metro Toledo.”
