NEWS CENTER – The Internationalist Solidarity continue to play it’s role against the attacks of the turkish fascists state against the Kurdish people and the Internationalist Revolutionary Struggle in Kurdistan. Last night, comrades carried an action against a company that have ties with the turkish state in the city of Palermo and shared the following statement:
“These days Kurdistan is again under attack by the Turkish offensive. There have been several calls for mobilization and much solidarity has come from all over the world. Below we publish a video and a statement that has reached our editorial office: The Turkish state is attacking Rojava and southern Kurdistan. The Italian state and the companies arming Erdogan’s hand are as responsible for the massacre as the government in Ankara.
After months of war crimes, chemical warfare and massacres in the mountains of Kurdistan, the Turkish government has bombarded large areas of Kurdistan with a new offensive. The tally for the past seven days — published by the Syrian Democratic Forces — speaks of 50 air raids, 20 drone bombardments and 3761 heavy artillery strikes in the areas of Quamisco, Asake, Kobane, Derik,Deirezzor and Shehba that resulted in the deaths of dozens of civilians.
Responsible for this carnage are, in addition to the Ankara government, the Italian state and its war industry that arms the hand of the Turkish government by cashing hundreds of millions of euros on the massacre of an entire people, the Kurdish people.
From 2018 to 2020, according to European Union reports, Italy was the country that exported the most heavy munitions to Turkey worth more than €122,000,000. In 2019, Italy also became the largest supplier of armaments to Turkey in absolute terms with authorizations worth €338,000,000 but relations with Italy go beyond just exports.
“Leonardo” has an office in Turkey, like Beretta, in Ankara, and subcontracts its military production to Turkey’s Onuk-BG. In addition, the Turkish state-owned military company t.a.i. produces under Italian license the T-129 Atak helicopter gunships, whose design is based on Leonardo’s AW129s.
The massacre taking place in Kurdistan is taking place in total silence of the Western mainstream media, which is careful not to accuse the government of a NATO partner country of war crimes and genocide and, above all, to accuse states like Italy and their capitalist economic system that in the name of the god money considers it legitimate to trade in human lives.
For all these reasons we have decided to sanction Leonardo, a company that produces death. We know that our action will be narrated with the dark hues of violence and terrorism but we remain with the certainty that these glares can shed light on the truth and unmask the real terrorists.”
