NEWS CENTER – In the history of Kurdistan’s struggle for freedom, there are thousands of heroic and self-sacrificing young people who gave their lives for their country and people. Each of them is a novel and epic in itself. In the most difficult moments, they fought by joining the line of Leader Apo and the martyrs. In those difficult moments, the people and their society became the way to freedom. History left behind heroism, sacrifice, heroism, fighting and dozens of unspeakable qualities. One of those young people who was known for his love for freedom is Martyr Serdem Agiri, whose identity was revealed on October 18.
Martyr Serdem Agiri is from the city of Qamishlo in Rojava Kurdistan, from the revolution area, from the Arin Mirkan and Rêvanan community. Martyr Serdem identifies the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) with the establishment of the revolution, which today has become the path of salvation for all humanity. The impact on him and the curiosity that life brings him to the line of freedom struggle. Martyr Serdem expresses his personality and his identification with the party as follows;
SERDEM AGIRI
“My name is Serdem Agiri, I was born in the city of Qamishli in a patriotic family. I got to know the party when I was still young. When the Rojava revolution started, one can say that we started to understand the party. Getting to know and joining the party It was also based on this. The struggle and martyrdom that was given during the revolution made an impression on me. In fact, when we looked at our friends, how they lived, how they fought, it had an unusual effect on us and my personality. .”
Longing to see Leader Apo live in a free country, he actually went to the mountains of Kurdistan to fulfill this desire. He has broadened his horizons in the free realms. With these words, the martyr Serdem Agiri expresses his dreams; “Both during my life as a guerrilla and when I was a child, every dream I had, I always dreamed of seeing the Presidency with my own eyes. It has always remained with me as a longing. even dream, whatever is asked of us, we will do it until the end and we are ready for it.”
The People’s Defense Center’s Decision Command makes the following evaluations about the young personality of Martyr Serdem Agirî;
“Our Comrade Serdem was born in Qamishlo in Western Kurdistan. Comrade Serdem initially participates in self-defense activities, then develops his weapon as an assassin, and when the war in Zap intensifies, he moves to Zap. having experience, as much as passing on his skills to his comrades, he takes advantage of his comrades, preparing himself for a great war process.
Our comrade Serdem is ideologically clear, prepares and participates in the fight of the tunnels and again the team fight. For this, he participates in all the activities of this process. Performs leadership duties successfully. When the process of war starts, it maintains its first stance, without hesitation with its communal militant power.
Our comrade goes into action with the dignity of a martyr and leader, he goes over the enemy with the power that Leader Apo had dreamed of. Hevre Serdem has become one of the great workers of the resistance in Zap with his attack on the enemy. Comrade Serdem took part in every work, became an exemplary militant of Apoyi with love and desire, was martyred by the use of chemical weapons by the enemy, and completed his revolutionary struggle at the top.”
