NEWS CENTER – Since the beginning of the invasion operation of the fascist AKP-MHP against the resistance areas of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, the Turkish army has been committing war crimes, especially in the areas of Şikefta Birîndara, Karker, Werxelê, Girê Hakkarî, Girê FM, Girê Cûdî, Girê Amediyê and the villages of Sîda and Çemço where the resistance is still ongoing. It can be seen that the genocidal AKP-MHP regime and the Turkish army will continue to commit this inhumane war crime if there is no deterrent reaction.
Today, the fascist AKP-MHP regime is committing crimes against human values in Kurdistan with genocidal policies. Just as during the massacre in Dêrsîm in 1938, a state official confessed that “we killed them all by throwing rat poison into the caves,” today they are committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in the same way, but in an even more horrible, brutal and systematic way.
On 18. October, the NPG headquarters published the identities of 17 guerrilla fighters who resisted within the right of legitimate self-defense on the axis of the struggle for freedom and democracy in Kurdistan, on the line Rêber APOs, resisted with creative tactics and great determination against all methods of the genocidal Turkish state and fell by the cruel attacks of the Turkish occupying army with chemical weapons and prohibited bombs such as phospor bombs and Şehid tactical nuclear weapons.
One of them is Demhat Cizir who could not accept the continuous attacks on the Kurdish society and genocide and joined the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla to respond to this inhuman enemy who is implementing the policy of genocide against the Kurdish people in all four parts of Kurdistan. That is why he took his place in the revolution and fought in the line of Rêber APO.
DEMHAT CIZÎR
“Our comrade Demhat Cizîr was born in Cizîra Botan as a member of a welatparêz family of the Kiçî tribe. The fact that his family and environment were welatparêz affected our comrade Demhat and gave him welatparêz characteristics. Comrade Demhat, who grew up with the dream of becoming a guerrilla, witnessed all kinds of attacks and massacres of the Turkish occupation state at a young age. Like every youth from Cizîr, our comrade Demhat has not given up his Welatparêzî against the oppressive and intimidating policies of the fascist regime. At the beginning of the People’s Revolutionary War, he saw himself as a Kurdish youth in charge and joined the ranks of the guerrillas in Cûdî. He went to the Medya Defense Areas and received basic training. Comrade Demhat had no problems adapting to the mountains as he was from the Koçer tribe. Comrade Demhat was introduced to the world of work at a young age. He realized the importance of work in guerrilla life and the values it created. He was attached to Rêber APO and the fallen with pure and honest feelings that were not contaminated with the dirt of the system, and he showed an exemplary militant attitude in every moment of his life. Comrade Demhat, realizing that pure and clean feelings were not enough, tried to develop ideologically with the help of the training he received and the support of his comrades. Like hundreds of his comrades, he gave voice to the cries of our êzidi people against the atrocities of the IS banes and participated in many actions in the area with great dedication until Şengal was liberated. After the successful Şengal practice, our comrade Demhat moved to Zap where he participated in the sacrificial work.
With his participation in the preparation of war tunnels and during the war, he left significant traces in the history of our struggle. Until his martyrdom, he strove to be worthy of Rêber APO and the Şehids and achieved this through his great determination. During the enemy’s attacks on April 14, 2022, our comrade Demhat was among the first groups to move against the enemy and with his reaction he showed the enemy the impassability of Zap right at the beginning. In the following days of the war, he participated in the mobile teams and skillfully used the guerrilla tactics of the new era, ensuring that the enemy suffered great losses. This time, when the enemy turned to the war tunnels, he put up an epic resistance with his comrades in the war tunnels and turned the war tunnels into fortresses of resistance. As the Turkish army failed to break the historical resistance of our comrades and they suffered more and more casualties every day, they tried to break the will of our comrades by using chemical weapons dozens of times. Our comrade Demhat, like many of his comrades, achieved martyrdom by fighting until his last breath as a militant Apoist and throwing the enemy’s dreams to the wind.”
