NEWS CENTER – After the invading Turkish army carried out a large-scale military operation in the Besta region of Botan on November 3, 2017, the guerrillas responded with a great fighting spirit, causing great losses in the enemy ranks. Soylu, Minister of Criminal Affairs of the Special War Policy, made statements saying that as of 20 November 2017, there will be no more guerrillas in the region. However, the resistance of the guerrillas destroyed all these fascist genocidal plans.
The invading Turkish army, which suffered heavy losses in the face of the guerrilla resistance, intensified its aerial attacks. During this conflict, intense Martyr air strikes were carried out against a guerrilla group of 13 people and martyrdoms took place. Among them were Delal Amed, the YJA Star commander, who was the field commander in Botan, and Aze Malazgirt, who also served as the YJA Star commander for a long time.

“Our friend Delal Amed (Hülya Eroğlu) was born in Amed in 1975 and has been in the ranks of the struggle since 1992. Our friend Delal, who received the one-on-one training of Leader Apo, has managed to be a devoted militant all her life, devoted to our Leader and our party. Our friend Delal, who participated in the struggle with the highest level of responsibility and made great efforts in all areas he was in, came to the fore with her commander personality and became a soldier who was strong in military terms and became a self-sacrificing commander. Comrade Delal, who also assumed the duties of HPG Command Council member and YJA Star Central Headquarters commander and fulfilling all duties with a high spirit of success, became one of our friends who coordinated the guerrilla resistance that developed against the fascist attacks of the enemy.
Within the group, Delal and 12 friends who were martyred as a result of air strikes in various areas of Besta are our friends, each of whom has managed to become a monument of resistance. All of our martyred comrades, especially Aze Malazgirt, will be the name of walking on the path of victory with the love of freedom. Devotion to their memory will be the only source of strength that will lead us to success.”
