“Our valuable comrade Erdal Tolhildan was martyred in the attacks carried out by the invading Turkish state on the Goşînê area of Xakûrkê on 13 August 2022. Our comrade Erdal, who joined the guerrilla ranks with the truth and belief that our party PKK and Leader Apo are the guarantee of the coexistence of the peoples, has always felt responsible for the freedom and honorable lives of the peoples of Turkey and participated with this awareness throughout his entire life of struggle. With this feature, he succeeded in being an exemplary militant for all his comrades. At every moment of the struggle, our leading commanders, Haki Karer and Kemal Pir, wanted to continue the struggle legacy of their comrades and carry it to all the peoples of Turkey, and in this sense, he had an important effort.

Leader Apo has an international character even with his debut. He has always dealt with the freedom of the people of Kurdistan and the struggle for democratization of the people of Turkey together. The comradeship developed by our Leader, who advocates a common and united struggle between peoples, with Haki Karer and Kemal Pir, has been a historical step taken in the struggle of the peoples of Turkey and Kurdistan for freedom, democracy and revolution. Our comrades Kemal Pir and Haki Karer have been followers of Leader Apo until their last breath, saying “We see the freedom of the people of Turkey in the freedom of the people of Kurdistan”. Our Party, the PKK, which was born and grew on the slogan of the common struggle of the peoples, has become the hope of all the oppressed and has risen on the shoulders of the Kurdistan freedom guerrilla . Our struggle, which paved the way for great gains by striking the colonial fascist, genocidal Turkish state with its heroic resistance and moves, even at the cost of paying a great price for this cause, attracted the attention of revolutionaries from all nations and made the mountains of Kurdistan a common ground of struggle.
Our comrade Erdal, who was born in Balıkesir, one of the cities of Turkey, saw the injustice of the capitalist system and the relations that detached people from their essence, and began to seek struggle during his high school years. Our comrade, who believes that an equal and free world must be created in the face of the capitalist lifestyle, which has brought all humanity to the brink of destruction and can survive with the wars and crises it has created, has entered into a deep concentration process by doing many researches in this process. Despite all the black propaganda and lies of the fascist Turkish state, the more he read the ideas of Leader Apo, the more he wanted to know the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle. Our comrade Erdal, who is known for his hardworking and hardworking personality, is at Yıldız Technical University, He started to fight actively in 2015, when he went to Istanbul by winning the International Relations department. Our comrade, who had the chance to get to know many different political circles closely during this period, was influenced by the lives and stances of the Apoist youth he met at the university, and our Party began to get to know the PKK more closely. Our comrade, who started to know the true face of the invading Turkish state, did not remain silent in the face of the attacks against the Kurdish people, and went to Kurdistan to witness the Self-Government Resistance. Our comrade Erdal, who saw with his own eyes the cruelty that the fascist Turkish state inflicted on the Kurdish people and never forgives, joined the ranks of the struggle without hesitation as a follower of Haki Karer and Kemal Pirs. Our comrade Erdal, who started his struggle by participating in youth activities, As a result of his effective struggle, he became the target of the invaders and remained in the dungeons of the fascist Turkish state for a while. Our comrade, who did not give in to the attacks, improved himself more during the dungeon process and increased his level of determination. As an international revolutionary against the denial and annihilation attacks of the colonial Turkish state against the Kurdish people, he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla in 2016 and gave the necessary answer to the fascist Turkish state.
Our comrade Erdal, who has been in life with great enthusiasm and morale since the first day he came to the free mountains of Kurdistan, has a great love for the majestic mountains of Kurdistan, which he has always heard but never seen. Our comrade, who deepened in the philosophy of the Leadership and the ideology of our Party with the training he received, wanted to learn everything with great curiosity and made a great effort for this. Comrade Erdal, who successfully completed the basic guerrilla training he received, started his first practice by moving to the Xakûrkê area. Our comrade Erdal, who aims to improve himself in every field, adapted to the ancient and difficult mountains of Kurdistan in a short time, and managed to overcome all the difficulties he faced with his strong sense of comradeship and fighting personality. Our comrade, who has turned into a competent guerrilla with his interest in the military field, At the same time, he tried to reflect the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, which showed a historical resistance against the intense war and attacks in Kurdistan, by taking part in press activities. Our comrade Erdal, who works non-stop and won the respect and love of all his comrades with his laboring personality, has been in a constant concentration to make every moment he breathes meaningful and based on reflecting this in his practice. Our comrade, who never misses the Leader’s Defenses in order to better understand and explain Leader Apo’s ideas, is integrated with the PKK’s philosophy of life. Our comrade, who has never forgotten the fact that the stage our struggle has reached has emerged as a result of the efforts of our immortal martyrs,
Our comrade Erdal, who followed the tradition of resistance from Deniz Gezmiş, Mahir Çayan, İbrahim Kaypakkaya, the pioneers of the socialist and revolutionary movement in Turkey, reaching our immortal martyrs Haki Karer and Kemal Pir and devoting his whole life to carrying the struggle legacy of our martyrs to victory, became the name of militant life and participation. We express our condolences to all the oppressed peoples who support our Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, especially to the precious family of our comrade Erdal, who has lived and fought as the determined sacrifice of Leader Apo by not giving up the search for truth despite all the attacks of fascism, and we promise that we will establish a free world by crowning our comrade’s struggle with victory.”
