A total of 10 young women took part in the three-day training course. The aim of the training is for young women to gain experience, use weapons and defend themselves against the occupation as part of the Revolutionary People’s War strategy.
The training ended with great enthusiasm and morale.
Zeynep , is a member of the Yekîtiya Jinên Ciwan in Şehba and told our news agency:
“My name is Zeyneb, I come from Afrin. Education is necessary and important for every young woman. Since we are in times of war, every young woman needs to organize and educate herself. We had both a People’s Revolutionary War education and a military education. Both are very important at a time like this. Military training is a must for us since the enemy is attacking so brutally.”
Aye , member of the Yekîtiya Jinên Ciwan in Qamişlo said:
“I came to military training to learn weapons and tactics of war. I learned to open, hold and shoot the gun and this is necessary for us not to sit at home when there is an attack against us. I came to fight on the front lines and help our armed forces with first aid, cooking and more. I like the people around me. I’m here to organize, give morale and get a lot of work done.”
