BEHDINAN – Komalên Ciwan Executive Member Tolhildan Zilan drew attention to the role of women and youth in the emerging serhildans in Rojhilatê Kurdistan and Iran.
Tolhildan Zilan, who made evaluations to Nuçe Ciwan Agency, made evaluations about the serhildans developing in Rojhilatê Kurdistan and Iran. Zilan stated that the main leader of the Serhildans was the ideas of Leader Apo, and called for the youth to participate with a more active responsibility and to increase the actions in the streets even more.
Tolhildan Zilan stated that every young person should join the guerrilla ranks in order to choose a free life in such a process.
Zilan’s assessment of the serhildans in Rojhilatê Kurdistan and Iran is as follows:
First of all, I bow before Jina Amini and those who lost their lives in the burgeoning resistance. As it is known, it has been a very important process in the last hundred years, especially for Rojhilatê Kurdistan and Iran. The Iranian regime is oppressing and tyrannizing people by applying every method, regardless of whether they are Baloch, Azeri, Persian, Turkmen or Arab. We see that a serhildan took place in the person of Jina Amini. It is a change that the people want. Today serhildan flourished on the occasion of the very unjust murder of Jina Amini.
Demands for freedom will develop under the leadership of young people and women in the street.
But we see that the demands of the people are very important in these days. People do not forget their own experiences and past. The demands of the people today are no different from the revolution that developed in 1978 and worked by the Islamists. The peoples living under the occupying Iranian regime no longer accept this regime. Today, this is happening all over the Middle East, especially in Iran. Throughout history, hundreds of revolts have been launched against invading and inefficient systems, and thousands of young people have sacrificed their lives. But they never accepted the invading system. This shows that people are constantly looking for alternatives and want change for freedom. People’s demands for freedom will develop under the leadership of young people and women on the street. Today’s cry for freedom is not limited to Rojhilatê Kurdistan and the Kurdish people. All Iranian peoples agree with this and have established a very deep unity. This is one reason why these serhildans are different from previous serhildans. This claim of freedom shows that the people no longer accept this system, and this is the legitimate demand of the Kurdistan Region.
Women and youth must not leave the streets and intensify their uprising. We see that these serhildans are developing with the ideas and philosophy of Leader Apo. But Leader Apo is under great torture and isolation. But his ideas and philosophy are completely free and embrace all peoples. As Leader Apo stated, “21. century is the century of women’s freedom.” Rojihilatê Kurdistsan and the serhildans that developed under the leadership of women in Iran have shown how Kurdish society and other societies can lead to a change.

Because women have been made a commodity in the capitalist world system and all powers are trying to oppress women and deprive them of all their rights. The invading Iranian state has constantly suppressed all women’s rights in the most brutal way and has constantly taken femicide as a basis. What emerged as a result of these uprisings is that women can create the greatest change with Leader Apo’s thought and philosophy. Leader Apo pioneered the woman by reading it differently and with a different idea. Leader Apo’s ideas lead Rojhilatê Kurdistan and Iran with the slogan “Jin Jiyan Azadi”. With their leadership, women can make this serhildan successful. These serhildans emerging today are not normal and may turn into a freedom revolution.
Today is the time of revolution in Eastern Kurdistan and Iran, a revolution in which the people have been fighting for years, shed blood on the streets for years, and do not bow to the enemy. We can learn from the experiences of the past and connect these uprisings to the freedom revolution. But the important thing here is that the peoples are completely behind each other and interlock with each other. These serhildans spread from Saqiz to all the streets and cities of Rojhilatê Kurdistan and Iran. Likewise, people should go out city by city, street by street and raise their voices for freedom. We must turn the streets into the streets of the rebels, and the houses into the homes of those who help the resisters, and so on. This regime can be defeated by the power of youth and women. In particular, you can organize yourself by developing self-defense and applying different methods.
Shouldn’t leave the streets
This occupying regime wants to sustain itself and maintain its dominance at all costs, but we can clearly say that its foundation is shaken and it is on the verge of collapse. The slogans that emerged especially in Sistan and Balochistan, among the people of Azerbaijan, the people of Iran and the Arab people clearly showed that these problems are the problems of all peoples. The peoples of Iran should not leave the streets and should strengthen their war on the streets. Demands against tyranny and oppression should not be weakened. Because this is already a tool that the state uses for itself.
They sacrificed their lives like Gulsurxiyan
Our main problem is the existence of such a dirty and occupying regime. The basic desire should be freedom and freedom is not given by the powers, it is won by struggle. We have to work harder for this. A very glorious war is being waged in the mountains of Kurdistan by the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla. Youth should take this struggle as a basis. Not only in Kurdistan, but also in Iran, the youth must turn to the guerrilla ranks. Arab, Baloch and Persian peoples, like Gulsurxiyan, opposed the invaders with the idea of socialism and sacrificed their lives. Arab, Baloch, Persian and Kurdish youth should work shoulder to shoulder.
Schools and universities should be boycotted, shops and bazaars should be closed. Everything that sustains the system must be paralyzed. This is possible with the resistance in the streets. This is the duty of everyone from 7 to 70. Today, all peoples are developing their resistance with Leader Apo’s words “Jin Jiyan Azadi”.
On this basis, my call to Apoist youth is to act in the streets with the ideas and philosophy of Leader Apo. this revolution must be the freedom revolution of humanity.
