MEXMUR – Ferhan Dideri, who lives in Maxmur and went to the Leadership Field in 1996 and studied for 3 months, told our agency about his memories with Önder Apo.
Speaking to our agency, Ferhan Dirderi talked about how different and rare Leader Apo is and said, “There is a reality that if the Leader does not understand the truth, the truth of the martyrs, the truth of the organization, we will make a lot of mistakes.”
‘How would we exchange with him, how would we talk’
My name is Ferhan Dideri. On September 25, 1996, 6 people left the Etruscan Camp and went to Shama, the Leadership field. When I first saw the leadership, it was like a dream to me. When we got there in the evening, we went and had dinner with the Leader. There was something special about the leadership. Whoever went to him should definitely have dinner with him. When we went to the Leader for the first time, we didn’t know what was going on because we couldn’t take our eyes off the Leader. We were 6 people and then we took 4 more people from two families. Our going to the Leader was like a dream; How would we trade with him, how would we talk… When we went to the Leader’s ground, we went on behalf of the camp, we had the report on us. After we ate our meal, the Leader would ask where we came from, who we were, and how we got there, while reading the reports that went with us. He criticizes us when he gets to know us and we’re like, ‘You’re dead, you are former Kurds”. At first, we couldn’t understand when the Leadership approached like that, and we were wondering why it was ignoring us. Of course, after the Leader criticizes, he gives spirit again and wakes him from the dead.
We stayed with the leadership for about 3 months. We saw a training circuit. Not everyone gets the chance to see the Leadership, so when I first saw him, I thought I was dreaming and said, “The whole world is mine.” I was saying. Therefore, it is difficult to recognize the Leadership. When people recognize the Leadership, they also know the martyrs line and the organization.
We made a lot of mistakes before we saw the leadership and his training, I made a lot of mistakes myself as an individual. When we were in Mardin, we were working and in 1993, in our practice, Mardin was liquidated. With these practices, we pushed the Leadership hard on us; “You came from this practice, you are from Mardin,” he said. There is a reality that if the Leader does not understand the truth, the truth of the martyrs, the truth of the organization, he will make a lot of mistakes. In particular, if a Kurd engages in activities, he must understand the reality of the Leadership, raise awareness and engage in such practice. Because if he doesn’t do this, it will open the way for many problems from the beginning.
In the 3 months we spent with the leadership, we received many trainings in terms of ideological, organizational and party dimensions. Even living with the leadership morning and night was an education in itself. Today, we are walking with the personality created by the leadership. We will continue like this until the end.
‘Leadership was a pilgrimage for me’
I want to give an example; “There is pilgrimage in Islam, and it is obligatory. Everyone should go on pilgrimage. In my opinion, if they had not said that Muhammad is the last prophet, the Leadership would have been a prophet. Because the role of the Leader is that of a prophet. Seeing the lead was like going on a pilgrimage for me. So the Leadership was a pilgrimage for me. Seeing the lead was more valuable to me than bread and water.
When the leadership gave training, it was very difficult. He always told us, “You are obsolete personalities”. Or when the news of the martyrdom of a friend from the country, state or mountain came, the Leadership was very angry. When Xeyri returned to the paintings of Kemal and Mazlum; “Yes, if I had 5 friends like Haki, I would have liberated Kurdistan.” said. When the Leadership establishes the Party, it establishes it on solid principles.
One looks at the 29 serhildans that took place before the Leader, and sees that he cannot spread and expand his ideas like the Leader does. Because the Leader’s exit was not only for Kurdistan, but for the whole Middle East. In other words, he fought not only for the Kurds but also for other nations. The friends who started to struggle with the Leader are also Turks.
There has never been a leader like the Leadership in the whole world. Leadership is a rare person with both ideas and struggle. I remember, all the things the Leader said about the camp in 1996 are in effect today. The leadership has seen 26 years ahead. The leadership said then, but no one understood. Indeed, Leadership is difficult to understand.
Heval Sara (Sakine Cansız) and Heval Cuma (Cemil Bayık) were also there during our time. So the pioneers of our revolution, and we were all in the same circuit. All female friends in the person of Heval Sara were trained, conscious and prepared.
“Kurdistan will not be liberated until women are not liberated”
Leadership us; “Kurdistan will not be liberated until women are not liberated, men will not be liberated until Kurdistan is not liberated.” he was saying. The leadership developed all its ideas on the freedom of women. “The more women develop, the more Kurdistan develops. The more liberated women become, the more liberated Kurdistan becomes.” This was the Leader’s idea. Before we saw the Leader, we did not give women the right to live, and we did not allow women to live together with men. In other words, humanity had fallen to this degree and died. But we see that the Leadership has created such a thing that men and women are fighting in the same position as comrades. There are thousands of women who are advancing in the leadership line.
The leadership criticizes us for the camp and says, “You are the community staff, but you cannot lead this people, you are always waiting.” said. Then he said, “One day, the camp will be a trouble for the organization.” Because the Leadership was doing a lot of research on camp life. No camp in the world has lasted 29 years as much as ours. It is either destroyed or confiscated, or something else happens. But our camp is on its feet today thanks to the ideas and philosophy of the Leader. This camp is the camp of martyrs, Martyr Rüstem Cudî’s Camp.
The leadership was giving us training especially on the line of the Barzani and Mam Celal Family. Leadership; ” Their line is on individualism and familialism. Their struggle is not national and my ideology is against it.” said. I was having a hard time talking about these by the leadership, and Mele Mistefa Barzani martyred hundreds of peshmerga, carried out studies and labored, but why do they not enter the service of the Kurdish people?” I said. Önderdik was talking about Kurdish national unity back then. In the past, the Barzani family has always been an obstacle to the Leadership. Because they do not serve Kurdishness, they serve their families and tribes. But the Leadership serves the people, the nation and the entire Middle East. In other words, the struggle of the Leader includes everyone.
