MAHABAD – The rebellion in the streets of Rojhilat and Iran has not abated. Despite the Iranian regime’s brutal massacre mentality, the youth in particular are determined to fuel the rebellion’s energy and heat. In the face of the regime’s armed military and guards, agents and spies, the youth persevere in the streets and organize themselves with self-made explosive devices and Molotovs.
An appeal was published yesterday in English by a youth collective in Mahabad called “Youth Organization Mahabad” aimed at the youth of Mahabad. The call gives practical advice on how to organize youth in the rebellion and calls for them to organize autonomously and with the alternative approach of democratic self-government. We translated and published the text for you because it makes the readers aware of the mentality and determination with which the youth in the streets are currently taking action against the regime.
“The ill-fated Islamic Republic has fallen
Four decades of regime corruption and brutality and the unshakable determination of women and youth in Kurdistan and Iran to stay on the streets are forcing this dictatorship to collapse.
In this glorious autumn, the dictatorial system has no choice but to cling to power and desperately unleash more militarism and brutality in Kurdistan.
These days the alleys breathe and the streets scream with rage.
Our organized collective continues to invite our comrades and noble people of Mahabad and the rest of Iran to organize autonomously and practice the alternative approach of democratic self-government in this revolutionary time. May our will be strengthened by the absolute need to avenge the blood of our Şehids (those who lost their lives in this struggle) and may our holy wrath help us to spread the spirit of freedom and self-determination everywhere.
(The following recommendations are made:)
– Avoid gatherings in known places known to the state.
– Target the remaining strongholds and infrastructure of the state: (…) bases, offices, schools and mosques used by the regime for surveillance and repression, city government buildings, IRIB (state media) buildings, city council offices and of Parliament, the office of the representative of the so-called Supreme Leader, the residences of known agents of state repression, the state-provided residences of military and Sepah agents, Gorestane Ashayer (a place exploited by the state for its ideological ends) and finally the buildings of the Sepah, the Sepah Secret Service, the Army and the Ministry of Information.
– We must replace the reformist mindset, which resigns itself to changing only who controls the state, with a revolutionary consciousness that seeks radical and fundamental changes.
– The notion that the Sepah and the military are somehow at odds with each other must be abandoned. We must abandon the illusion that we can be saved by the existing opposition figures, parties and groups who want to appoint themselves leaders of this insurgency.
– Not only must we arm ourselves and prepare ourselves for the propaganda and psychological warfare of the state, but above all we must acquire the practical means of physically defending ourselves.”
