NEWS CENTER – Organized by the municipality of Montechiaro in the city of Parma, Italy, and the ANPI association, events were organized for the purpose of informing and solidarity about the public actions led by women in Rojhilatê Kurdistan and Iran. Dozens of Italian institutions and individuals attended the event.
The event, attended by Kurdish writer and director Fahriboz Kamkar from Rojhilat and an Iranian female activist, lasted until late hours.
The event, in which Fahriboz Kamkar narrated the history of revolution and resistance in Iran and Rojhilat, was watched with great interest. He called on the Italian government to take an active stance in the event, where the chemical attacks of the Turkish state against the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla were also mentioned. The event ended late with the questions asked and their answers.
In order to show solidarity with Kurdish women and people, “Jin jiyan azadi”, “Hold your hand off the Kurdish people”, “Kurdish people are not alone” and “Bargaining over the Kurdish people”, in order to show solidarity with Kurdish women and people, were also held at the Donna in Nero group’s anti-war and anti-gun event in Parma’s Garibaldi Square every Saturday. BOLOGNA
In the city of Bologna, Italy, a long march was held with the participation of tens of thousands against corruption, high cost of living and war in solidarity with the Firenze GNK auto workers.
The march, which started at 22 September square (Piazza 22 Settembre) with the participation of hundreds of institutions, parties, unions, democratic mass organizations, professional chambers, the Kurdistan solidarity network (Rete Kurdistan Emilia Romagna) and the Rete Jin women’s solidarity network, lasted for about four hours.
Rete Jin Bologna and Rete Kurdistan Emilia Romagna participated in the very enthusiastic march with banners protesting the chemical gas attacks of the Turkish state against the Kurdistan guerrilla and flags of PKK, YPG and YPJ.
The Kurdistan Solidarity Network cortege, which received great attention and support, frequently chanted slogans such as “Terrorist Turkey”, “Killer Erdogan”, “Jin jiyan azadi”, “Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, peace for Kurdistan”.
