BEHDINAN – The KCK Executive Council (YK) Co-Presidency made a statement on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the Ankara Massacre, in which 103 people were killed in the bomb attack carried out by the AKP-MHP alliance against the peace rally organized by labor and professional organizations on October 10, 2015.

“On October 10, 2015, there was an attack on the rally held by the peace bloc at the Ankara Station junction, and as a result, a great massacre took place. We condemn this bloodiest and biggest massacre in the history of Turkey with hatred and curse those who carried out the massacre. We commemorate all martyrs of freedom and democracy with respect and gratitude in the person of those who participated in the rally with the feelings of living together with the Turkish and Kurdish people and lost their lives in the massacre. Those who lost their lives in the Gar massacre are unforgettable martyrs of the struggle for democracy and freedom. It is the most fundamental duty of those who fight for freedom and democracy to live and keep the feelings of these martyrs alive and to realize their longing for a democratic Turkey for which they fought. As the Kurdish Freedom Movement, we honor the martyrs of the Ankara Station Massacre, the 7th of the massacre.
HE USED ISIS LIKE HIZBI USED CONTRA
The Ankara Gar massacre is the biggest political massacre in the history of Turkey. The perpetrator of this massacre is the fascist AKP-MHP alliance. The fascist AKP-MHP alliance carried out this massacre at the hands of ISIS. As understood by this massacre, ISIS is a force put into action by AKP-MHP in attacks. Just like the Hizbi-Contra was used by the forces that carried out the Kurdish genocide in the past, AKP-MHP also puts DAESH into action in the massacres it perpetrates.
It is very important to correctly understand the background of the massacre that took place on October 10, 2015 and what was intended to be done with the massacre. The alliance formed by the Kurdish people and the peoples of Turkey for the democratization and freedom of Turkey achieved great success in the general elections held on 7 June 2015 and emerged as the main force that determined the future of Turkey and ensured its reconstruction. As a matter of fact, in the general elections of 7 June 2015, the AKP fell from power and the democracy forces that came together within the HDP became the democratic administration force. For the first time in Turkey’s history, while AKP and other states lost and weakened, Kurds and Turkish democracy forces achieved great success and a great opportunity was created for Turkey’s democratization. Behind this success is the power of the Kurdish Freedom Movement, the struggle and legacy of Turkey’s socialist movement and Turkey’s broad democracy lovers. Developing democracy alliance based on this legacy; It has been a great power to solve the problems of Kurds, Alevis, women’s religious groups, laborers and all marginalized segments, and to reconstruct Turkey on a democratic basis. However, Kurdish and anti-democracy genocidal, colonialist statist forces established the AKP-MHP alliance and put into effect the Collapse Action Plan, which was prepared before, in order to prevent Turkey’s rebuilding on the basis of democracy and reverse the process. Attacks, massacres and conspiracies were implemented as required by this plan. The massacre at the Ankara Station junction is such a massacre that took place within the framework of the AKP-MHP alliance’s Collapse Action Plan. Therefore, this massacre was committed against the democratization of Turkey, the fraternity of the peoples and the will to live together.
HIS HOPE AND FIGHT FOR FREEDOM DID NOT FAIL, IT BIGGER
Despite all the attacks of AKP-MHP fascism, the hope and struggle for freedom did not regress and it has grown even more and has become an important power in determining the politics of Turkey today. Now, the democratic alliance and struggle established by the Kurdish people and the peoples of Turkey and the democratic forces has taken root in Turkish society and has become permanent. This is a very important development in terms of the struggle for freedom and democracy. Undoubtedly, this situation has been reached through struggle. Against the oppression, attacks and massacres of the fascist AKP-MHP alliance, the Kurdish people, especially women, the peoples of Turkey and the forces of democracy have been in great resistance. This meaningful and great resistance has further increased the hope of freedom and brought the AKP-MHP alliance to the brink of destruction today. It is very clear that in the face of this resistance, the collapse of the fascist AKP-MHP alliance,
3. EFFORT MUST BE MADE TO STRENGTHEN THE LINE
The democratic alliance established by the peoples, women, laborers and democratic forces became stronger with the establishment of the labor and freedom bloc and became a movement that will provide a democratic solution to the problems in Turkey. It is possible that the labor and freedom bloc, which has a broad democratic alliance potential, will be further developed and become Turkey’s most powerful social and political movement. Everyone needs to work harder to achieve this. The third political line of this democracy movement is the true and real power that receives great support from Turkish society and will provide a democratic solution to Turkey’s problems. While strengthening this line is the most fundamental work for those fighting for freedom and democracy, it is very important to take a stand against approaches that weaken it.
IT IS A MATERIAL AND POLITICAL MISSION TO OPENLY HOLD THE LEADER APO
Leader Apo made a great effort for the joint struggle and democratic alliance of the Kurdish people and the peoples of Turkey, and formed the ideological and theoretical framework for this. It is very important to see, understand and own this. Throughout his life, Leader Apo has been involved in an important work for the Kurdish people and the peoples of Turkey to live together with the science of democratic nation and for the realization of democratic alliance and reconstruction in Turkey. Because of this work and attitude, the fascist AKP-MHP government has established a heavy isolation and torture system on Leader Apo. Despite this, Leader Apo is in great resistance against the AKP-MHP and maintains his stance. Therefore, openly embracing Leader Apo is a moral and political duty in terms of democratic alliance work and the 3rd political line.
THE DEMOCRACY MOVEMENT SHOULD GROW IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR MEMORY
As the Kurdish Freedom Movement, we consider furthering the struggle for the fraternity of peoples and the democratic transformation and construction of Turkey as a requirement of our commitment to the martyrs, and we state that we will make more efforts to ensure this. We state that we stand with the peoples of Turkey, women, youth, laborers and those who have a tradition of democratic faith with all our might and strength. With the common struggle of the peoples, the democratic alliance movement has become a very important force in Turkey. Bringing democratic solutions to Turkey’s problems by further enlarging the democracy movement is a requirement of the commitment to the revolution and democracy martyrs, especially the 10 October martyrs. With this awareness and attitude, we once again commemorate all martyrs of revolution and democracy in the person of the martyrs of October 10 with respect and gratitude.
