BEHDİNAN – People’s Defense Center (HSM) Headquarters Commander Murat Karayılan stated that “160 days of holy resistance against the attacks of the enemy” has been left behind and that a new page has been opened in the history of Apoist resistance.
Karayılan commemorated those who were martyred in the resistance against the invasion attacks by commemorating their names, and underlined that they will protect their memories by enlarging the Kurdistan freedom struggle.
Emphasizing that the aim of the invading Turkish state is to completely liquidate the Kurdistan freedom movement and to eliminate the gains of the Kurdish people, Karayılan said:
“The enemy has planned this goal in stages: the first stage is open, but the second is hidden, or semi-hidden. Their first goal is to establish control in an area they call a buffer, at a depth of 32 kilometers from Afrin to Xakurkê. Undoubtedly, in this way, the Rojava Revolution will be completely brought under control, that is, eliminated, and the most strategic regions of Southern Kurdistan will also be brought under control. This is the first goal they openly stated. Undoubtedly, all Medya Defense Areas are targets, in this context, Kandil is also among their targets. It is obvious that the Turkish state included the KDP in the first phase of this plan. KDP is included in this plan. They also support it and want it implemented. There are also some international powers behind the plan, so they approved this plan. This is the first step.
The second stage is the occupation of the borders of the National Pact. The Turkish state does not openly say this, but they are discussing this plan among themselves. That’s why we used the term “semi-hidden”. Undoubtedly, he wants to influence Iraq and Syria in this way. Now, within this framework, they attacked Afrin at the beginning of 2018. Right after, they attacked the Xakurke region in April. So they wanted to tie both ends together. As it is known, they later attacked Serêkaniye and Til Ebyad (Girê Spî), then they targeted Heftanîn, they took it piece by piece in this way. For this, its most strategic goal is to occupy the center of the Medya Defense Zones, namely the Zap, Garê and Zap surroundings. Surprisingly, they started their attacks in Garê in February 2021. In this way they wanted to complete the first phase. But everyone knows that the enemy did not succeed in this plan. Because they saw a new tactic in front of them. The enemy could not have calculated this beforehand.”
Still no results
Noting that the guerrilla’s new tactics are coordinated professional team tactics, underground and tunnel warfare, Karayılan said, “The enemy encountered this method, was surprised, choked. In this way, the 2021 plan was broken and failed,” he said.
Expressing that the state has started to use chemical gases and weapons against the tunnels this time, Karayılan said, “But they still could not get results. Finally, they started using a new bomb since August. Where they got it is a matter of debate, but it was first used against Girê Sor, then against the Werxelê resistance, and martyrdoms took place,” he said.
Pointing out that the type of weapon used in both these areas was later made a fundamental part of the invading state’s plan for 2022, Karayılan pointed out that the Turkish state, which tried to achieve results in this way, tried to destroy the tunnels and to gain control over the guerrilla teams by using mobesse and photo traps on the ground in addition to reconnaissance planes. pulled.
Karayılan said, “The enemy has set his account on this,” and questioned who gave the bombs to the Turkish state.
It has been understood that nuclear materials are a weapon whose effect is limited by softening.

“We did a lot of research on the properties of this bomb. It was understood that the ‘tactical nuclear bomb’ was a weapon, in other words, a weapon in which the effects of nuclear materials were softened and limited. Radiation does not spread everywhere; It’s limited to a house, a squad or an area, but it has a very high pressure force, enough to destroy it. Its practical use and our research show that there are different grades of this bomb. What Turkey has is a hundred times stronger than TNT. For example, they detonate 20 kilos, it makes the effect of 2 tons of TNT. It also has a toxic effect around 9-10 meters.”
It is in the NATO inventory
Expressing that these bombs are in NATO inventory, Karayılan said, “It is known that some of these bombs were given to NATO member countries before and Turkey is among them. Of course, it could be under NATO’s control. Now Turkey is using them against us. It is unclear whether this was used with NATO approval or covertly. But he knows that it is difficult to use these bombs without approval.”
They understood very well that if they lost against us, their system would collapse completely.
Talking about the measures taken to protect the guerrillas from these bombs, Karayılan said, “As much as the enemy wants to achieve its military goals, the AKP-MHP regime also wants to build a victory against us and go to the elections accordingly. He wants to strengthen the wave of chauvinism in Turkey, gain votes on this basis and maintain his power. They understood very well that if the AKP and MHP win against us, they can continue their systems, but if they lose against us, their system will collapse completely.”
He wants to spy on everybody in the South.
Pointing out that the Turkish state, which failed in the face of the guerrilla, intensified its intelligence activities in Bakur, Bashur and Rojava parts of Kurdistan, Karayılan said, “Now it wants to mobilize everyone in the South like a spy. How can a political party say ‘I am a Kurd’ while spying on the one hand? Unfortunately, such a situation is currently happening. It is both a political party and a spy for its enemies, developing espionage.”
Karayılan noted that a national attitude should be developed in all parts of Kurdistan and that espionage, which the enemy is trying to develop, should be fought.
Emphasizing the resistance in the guerrilla areas, Karayılan said, “The Turkish state has never lost so much in a period of five months,” pointing to the balance sheet for the last five months.
Stating that 10 helicopters were shot down in the same period and a helicopter was hit every week, Karayılan underlined the creativity of the guerrilla.
Drawing attention to the isolation imposed on Önder APO, Karayılan stated that the Imrali Torture System is getting worse with each passing day and said, “The enemy is deepening the war here. Against this, the will that emerged both in Imrali and on the battlefield shows that we are basically waging a war of will against the enemy today. It is the fight for the will of the Kurdish people. Our people are making sacrifices in this framework,” he said.
