BEHDINAN – KCK Executive Council Member Xebat Andok evaluated the developing process for the Kurdish youth and the Kurdish people to Nuçe Ciwan Agency. Calling on the youth of Kurdistan, Andok made important evaluations about the duties and responsibilities of Kurdish youth towards the Kurdish people and stated that every young person who wants to take revenge should join the guerrilla ranks.
Xebat Andok said, “Those who want to resist injustice, sovereignty, oppression and occupation, those who want to take a historical revenge against the occupiers should turn to the ranks of the free guerrilla.”
All the youth of Kurdistan, we greet you all with great sincerity and love. Dear friends, even in the 21st century, as the Kurdish people, we have not been able to achieve normalization. Like other peoples, we have not been able to obtain all our rights. Let alone our rights, we are in the grip of genocide. Neither our name nor our rights are recognized. We have been facing genocide policies for exactly 100 years.
In fact, as Kurdish people, we don’t even need to ask “How are the Kurds doing?”. Because we Kurds are facing policies of extermination and genocide or massacre, if one thinks even as much as the tip of a pin, if one has a little conscience, if one concentrates on oneself a little, one will see what the occupying states, the forces of capitalist modernity have done to us.
Rather than saying why the enemy did this to us, what should we do?
Therefore, if we as Kurds say, “Our situation is like this, like that, we are facing these policies, there is this kind of injustice against us,” this only proves one thing: our situation is not good. We are already experiencing these things, we are already facing these things. What is the need to say these things to each other? This only shows the extent of assimilation, dissolution, estrangement from oneself. We must get out of this situation for all peoples, especially for our own people. Again, the worst thing is this, dear friends; if one is always complaining, always saying “Why did this enemy do this to us? Why doesn’t he know us? Why do we face such things?” In short, if one complains, if one weeps, this is the greatest injustice for a people and a human being. No people, no one should put themselves in this situation. This is the worst situation. It doesn’t matter what the enemy is doing. What are we going to do? What do we want to do? And what should we do? The enemy has already been showing us what it wants to do for 100 years. In the person of AKP-MHP, in the person of all occupiers, in the person of capitalist modernity, at the NATO summit… In short, they show us in all their agreements and actions. In the 21st century, their decree is the decree of genocide, and today they say “we will eradicate the Kurdish people”. Those who physically eradicated us have already eradicated us; they want to eradicate the rest through assimilation and cultural genocide. In other words, “We will do to the Kurds what we did to Armenians, Greeks, Yazidis, Assyrians and Assyrians. We will physically massacre them.” They say, “We will do to you what we did to Circassians, Abaza, Laz.” In other words, they want to finish off the remaining Kurds in the same way as they melted them into themselves and subjected them to cultural genocide without subjecting them to physical genocide.
In short, what I want to say is that the occupying and ruling powers, the forces of capitalist modernity, are clearly showing us their ideas about Kurdistan. So instead of asking, “What does the state want from us, what does it want to do to us, what kind of plans does it have?” let’s leave these aside. Of course, one should observe one’s enemy, but one should not always reproach and complain. Instead, one should be critical of oneself. Are we fulfilling our duty or not? Why are we in this situation as Kurdish people? They are enemies and they are doing their enmity. We want to exist as a people. So are we fulfilling our duty or not? There is no doubt that the Kurdish elders did not easily accept this 100-year-old policy carried out on the Kurdish people. They continued their resistance and struggle. They showed their discomfort in different ways. But until today, it seems that we have not yet achieved victory.
So what are we going to do? Do we always blame the states? Should we always talk about our enemy as the most brutal enemy?
As Kurds, if we always complain, “Why didn’t our elders give us a free life, why didn’t they give us beauty, why didn’t they fulfill their duties and responsibilities on time, why didn’t they solve the Kurdish problem, then our situation will be like that of our elders. Because they too did not triumph, they too have always remained in a position of guilt and self-criticism towards history. Because they could not solve the Kurdish problem and postponed it until today. If we do not remove ourselves from their position, or if we do not remove ourselves from the position of self-criticism, we will also carry the Kurdish problem into the future. In other words, the children of today, the young people of tomorrow will be in our current position. This time they will criticize us. In short, one must remove oneself from this situation. There is no Kurd who has not betrayed his own essence
So how do we get ourselves out of this situation? The Kurdish people, especially the Kurdish youth, need to reflect on their current situation. We have examples from history at this point, of course. When our leader founded the party, and even before that, he was a youth when he entered the Kurdish and Kurdistan cause. He only set out from here. In other words, he was ashamed of the current situation of the Kurdish people. Our Leadership revealed his sense of shame. The feeling of shame was the main factor for our Leadership to embark on the path of freedom. He made friends for himself, he made friends. Then he organized a people and this people has been struggling until today. It was as if he built and established it. Our leadership first made the following determination; “There are no Kurds left who have not betrayed their own essence,” he said. It was really like that. Kurds are insulted but the Kurd does not act, his name is banned but the Kurd does not say I exist, his country is nameless, it is occupied but he does not fight for his own country. He is a human being and should not be subjected to injustice, but he faces more than a thousand kinds of injustice from morning to night, but he does not say anything. He faces great injustice and injustice, but he does nothing. Some people want to take him away from himself, from his essence, turn him into something else and he goes from there. He gives himself to Turkishness, he gives himself to the civil service, he gives himself to the state school and so on.
Although our leadership was young, he brought the Kurdish and Kurdistan cause to the present day In short, such Kurds have betrayed Kurdistan, Kurdishness and humanity. Our leadership embarked on the path of freedom to save himself from this situation, to save his friends from this situation, to take his people out of this situation. He carried out the cause of Kurdistan and Kurdishness, he carried out the cause of humanity. That is why, despite his youth, he brought the Kurdish and Kurdistan cause to the present day. That is why he turned the freedom movement into a movement that history will not repeat itself. He took it out of the position where it had to criticize itself. This continues to this day. Today’s Kurdistan youth must act in the same way.
Kurdish youth have a responsibility towards society
Dear friends, as the youth of Kurdistan and Kurdish youth, you also have great responsibilities. If you do not act according to your duties and responsibilities, you will fall into the same position as your elders. We see before us the Kurdish problem that our predecessors did not solve and which has come to this day. Again, Kurdish youth have a responsibility towards society. There is very little that older women and men can do in society.
The change and transformation of society, winning society now, winning the future of society is revealed by the performance of the youth. It is the youth who build life with the experience of the elders. They are the force of change and transformation of society. That is why Kurdish youth do not have the luxury of blaming only their elders, of denigrating their past, of placing the blame only on the forces of power and the state. Even if there is none, the elders in society have responsibilities towards their younger ones. And you are the elders of children, of Kurdish children. That is why the eyes of all Kurdish children are on you, and the eyes of society and Kurdish elders are on you. Kurdish elders are now saying, “We could not achieve what we wanted to achieve in our time, at least the youth of today should achieve it.” On this basis, today’s youth have a historic responsibility. Therefore, today’s youth, the youth of Kurdistan must embrace their historical duty.
The youth who want to take revenge for the occupation and the genocide policy should turn to the Freedom Movement to take a historical revenge on this occupying fascist and genocidal state. Because nothing other than the Freedom Movement can be the answer for revenge, for accountability. There is no other place. On this basis, the Freedom Movement was founded by young people, it has come to the present day with the spirit of youth, and it itself says “I will finish young”. That is why the Freedom Movement, our Party PKK, is a youth movement. Both its structure is very young, its spirit is young, those who founded it are also young, and those who are currently involved and struggling in it say, “We will live the spirit of youth until the end”. Therefore, the Freedom Movement is exactly according to the feelings, thoughts, spirit and purpose of the youth. Therefore, the place of the youth is in the Freedom Movement.
Those who want freedom should turn to the guerrilla ranks
On this basis, everyone who wants to fight against injustice, who wants to fight against injustice, who wants to taste free life, who wants to taste equal life, who wants to experience true comradeship, who wants to take historical revenge on the occupying and ruling powers, who wants to solve the Kurdish problem immediately, who wants to offer a free future to Kurdish children and the Kurdish people, should give their direction to the Freedom Movement. Within the Freedom Movement, they should turn to the guerrilla ranks.
You see how the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla is resisting today for the existence of the Kurdish people, for the success of the Kurdish cause. It is resisting against the occupying state, against the forces of capitalist modernity with its will, with its love of freedom, in every way, and immediately strikes the biggest blows against the enemy.
The future is being woven by the hands of these young guerrillas. On this basis, the resistance that is now developing in Zap, Avaşin, Metina, Heftanîn, Xakurkê and all over Bakurê Kurdistan is the foundation for the establishment of Kurdistan and Kurdistan. The future is being woven by the hands of these young guerrillas. In the current situation, no matter what anyone says, the guerrilla is the guarantee of Kurdistan and Kurdistan. Without guerrillas, it is impossible to have Kurdistan and Kurdistan.
This is how necessary and important the guerrilla is for Kurdistan and Kurdistan. Those who speak for the guerrilla should know that they can do so as a result of the guerrilla resistance. That is why the Kurdish people were in the grip of genocide, and if the Kurdish people continue their existence with honor and dignity in the current situation, everyone should know that this is because the guerrilla is leading the way in this war. This is why this principle is valid for Kurds and Kurdistan. The more guerrillaism the more freedom, the more guerrillaism the more you become yourself and gain existence… No one should deceive themselves, no one should be fooled by the different speeches of different circles. This is how important guerrillaism is for Kurds and Kurdistan.
Dear friends, on this basis, those who want to resist injustice, sovereignty, oppression and occupation, those who want to take a historical revenge against the occupiers should turn to the ranks of the free guerrilla. And finally, for existence, for being yourself, “Werin Cenga Azadiyê”
