NEWS CENTER – The colonialist Turkish state, led by the AKP-MHP, is committing war crimes as a special war government by disregarding international laws in their invasion attacks in southern Kurdistan. They are practicing a terrible state terror against the Kurdish people and all forces fighting for freedom, innocent people and against civilians. On October 18, 2022, the headquarters of the People’s Defense Forces (NPG) published the identities of 17 guerrillas killed by chemical weapons attacks by the Turkish occupying Şehid state. The NPG command made it clear that due to the silence and international support, the chemical weapons attacks have been intensified.
Our agency has been constantly publishing the videos, reports and information related to the war crimes of the Turkish fascist state and from the perspective of remembering the heroes of this historic resistance, we will be publishing about the 17 martyred guerrillas over the next few days in order to remember their struggles, their conviction with the revolution and Serokatî and denounce such war crimes. One of these 17 fallen guerrillas is Heval Delal Şoreş who has been active in the youth works for a while and then joined the YJA Star forces. In October this year, she was killed in the Zap resistance area due to the use of chemical weapons by the Turkish occupying soldiers.

The command of the NPG described the personality of guerrilla Şehid Delal Şoreş in the following words:
“Our comrade Delal was born in a welatparêz family in Silêmanî, the city of enlightenment and uprising. Our freedom movement’s war against occupation and struggle based solely on our people’s own resources has affected our people in southern Kurdistan as well as in other areas of Kurdistan. Dozens of our heroic comrades like Dr. Sîrwan, Viyan Soran, Helmet (Diyar Xerib), Berfin Rêbaz who fought sacrificially for the freedom struggle of our people have fallen Şehid. Our comrade Delal, whose brother was also in the ranks of freedom, was influenced both by her brother’s participation and by these great heroic Şehids. Through this influence, she came to know our chairman and our party better and believed that our freedom struggle under the leadership of our chairman and our heroic Şehids would liberate both women and our people.
On this basis, our comrade Delal, who decided to join the guerrillas in 2017, participated in the work of Komalên Ciwan after her initial training. During the time she did youth work, she tried to make our people and the Kurdish youth understand the harshness of the war in Kurdistan and the price paid for it; she invited our people to join the ranks of the struggle and the youth to join the guerrillas. In this sense, she contributed to raising awareness in society and enabled dozens of young people to fight in the ranks of freedom against the occupation. Our comrade Delal, at the same time educating herself in the works she participated in, increased her revolutionary feelings even more and maximized her determination and will to fight. The martyrdom of her comrades during the intense war process made our comrade Delal fight more and more, while her desire to reach the mountains of freedom increased every day. At a time when our people were facing the threat of genocide and the enemy was intensifying its attacks day by day, our comrade Delal turned her face back to the mountains and took her place in the resistance positions. Our comrade Delal, who was involved in the war process in Zap, quickly trained in the military field and learned and revived the basic principles of the new era of guerrilla. Our comrade Delal, who had a great will to fight, made great efforts to participate in the actions against the enemy and received the results of these efforts. Through her participation in many actions developed against the enemy in Zap, she avenged the enemy for years and as a pioneering YJA star guerrilla, she succeeded in avenging her fallen comrades. Our comrade Delal, who participated in every phase of the enemy’s invasion attacks on Zap, Avaşîn and Metîna areas, took part in many activities from building war tunnels to preparing mobile teams and prepared for the enemy operations together with her comrades. Our comrade Delal, who was one of the groups that led the first strike against the enemy attacks, determined the color of her resistance right at the beginning. Unable to achieve results against the apoist will of our comrades, the genocidal Turkish state again used chemical weapons and banned bombs. In these dishonorable attacks of the enemy, our comrade Delal achieved martyrdom by fighting until her last breath with unwavering apoist will, faith, courage and determination.”
