When the invading Turkish army, which did not suffer from the morality of humanity and the law of war, could not overcome the epic resistance of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla and inflicted heavy losses in effective guerrilla actions, it recklessly used banned tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons in the Girê Hakkari Resistance Area. Despite the fact that the Turkish army has committed this war crime many times and all these have been documented and presented to the world public, there has been no strong reaction and the use of chemical weapons has become systematic.
Comrade Nuri Yekta, our revolutionary national commander who developed and led the historical resistance in the Enemy’s Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area, and Comrade Amara Amed, the valiant son of the Kurdish people, were martyred as a result of the tactical nuclear bomb attack, which is prohibited according to international laws.
First of all, we express our condolences to the esteemed patriotic families of our martyrs and all the people of Kurdistan. We will always keep alive the memory of our comrades who fought sacrificially, stood against the occupation, and became martyrs for this cause, so that our Leadership and the Kurdish people can live freely in their own country with their identity. We will never forget the despicable killing of our comrades by the Turkish state with chemical weapons. We will not only expose this war crime everywhere and always and show the murderous face of the genocidal Turkish state to the whole world, but also we will definitely avenge our martyrs.

Our comrade Nuri was born in the cosmopolitan city of Nexede in the Mahabad region of Rojhilatê Kurdistan. Since Nexede is a city where many Kurdish resistance leaders were born and departed, the political awareness of our people living here is also high. At the same time, this city, where deep social contradictions and antagonisms are wanted to be developed between the Kurdish and Turkish people, has also witnessed many massacres. Our comrade Nuri grew up in a family that is aware of his social identity and has deep patriotic feelings. He grew up with the memories of the leaders of the resistances and revolutionary movements developed by the people of Rojhilatê Kurdistan. The political search and awareness that comes from the family with the awareness of Kurds and Kurdistan has also led to searches for our comrade Nuri. Although the financial situation of his family is good, it is based on labor, It is based on reaching a socialist lifestyle that rejects discrimination. He studied in Iran for ten years, studied literature for two years and improved himself.
When the conspiracy against the Kurdish people in the person of Leader Apo took place in 1999, the family circle of our comrade Nuri suffered deep pain, just like all the Kurdish people who suffered this. The day of the February 15 Conspiracy, also called “Roja Reş” by the Kurdish people, marked a turning point in the life of our comrade Nuri. When Leader Apo recognized the truth, he decided to join the freedom movement, but because he was young, he was assigned to different studies and carried out activities between 1999-2001. He came to the Kurdistan mountains in 2001 and received his first guerrilla training. He stayed with our comrades in the party administration and gained important experiences that would guide his revolutionary life here. He later switched to revolutionary youth work. Between 2002 and 2004, our Party experienced a serious questioning in the face of internal betrayal and liquidationism that plagued the PKK, and concentrated on distinguishing between right and wrong. Our comrade Nuri, who knows Sorani and Persian well, also learned Kurmanji dialect and Turkish in order to develop himself more strongly. He participated in the first KONGRA-GEL board as a youth delegate, and took an attitude in favor of the Leadership line.
Our comrade Nuri, who knows that in order to liquidate liquidationism, besides the ideological struggle, a strong revolutionary practice is necessary, he suggested going to practical areas. He specifically wanted to go to Rojavayê Kurdistan, where Leader Apo worked the most, spent years and, in the words of our comrade Nuri, “where the smell of Leadership comes from”. On this basis, he went to Rojavayê Kurdistan and took part in youth work and contributed to the strong organization of our people there. He took part in the developing Qamishlo Serhildan in 2004 and led the way. He personally fought against all the heavy effects of liquidationism, and he spent night and day in order to make the Apoist line prevail. That’s why it became the target of the liquidators and was handed over to the Syrian regime cowardly by the conspiracy of the liquidators.

Our comrade Nuri, who was arrested by the Syrian regime in September 2004, went through severe torture. He was questioned by the Syrian regime and the Turkish state on the torture bench for months, but our comrade Nuri did not say a single word. He represented the honorable resistance line of Mazlum, Kemal and Hayri in the most accurate way, never surrendered, kept his stance despite being in the dungeon for 7.5 years under very harsh conditions, and led the resistances that developed in the dungeon. After 7.5 years, in 2011, when he was told that he would be amnesty by the Syrian regime when the spring of the peoples came, he showed a very noble attitude by saying “I am not someone to be forgiven, I fulfilled my revolutionary duty”. Thereupon, he was handed over to Iran by Syria and put in a dungeon here. one, After staying in the prisons of Iran for 5 years, he had the opportunity to escape one day and when he was physically liberated, he took the road to the mountains of Kurdistan. Our comrade Nuri, who is attached to the mountains of Kurdistan with great love, met with his comrades with great enthusiasm and adapted immediately. He took part in different activities and was involved in the education process at the Mazlum Doğan Party Central School.
Our comrade Nuri, who has an irrepressible revolutionary spirit, suggested going to Aleppo when he saw that Rojavayê Kurdistan and especially our people in Aleppo were facing gang attacks. No matter from which part of Kurdistan he is, wherever there is persecution or oppression, our comrade Nuri has always taken it as a basis to be there, to fight, and to choose the most difficult task. In this sense, he became a genuine revolutionary national militant who served in three parts of Kurdistan. He played an important role in both the organization of our people and the development of their self-defense in Aleppo, and pioneered with years of experience. Since he learned the Arabic language in the prisons of the Syrian regime, he was able to establish relations with people from all walks of life and win their hearts, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he came into contact with. Wounded during the war however, as soon as he finished his treatment, he returned to his duty. With his courage on the battlefield, his skill in tactical creativity, his ability to coordinate the fighters, his spirit of resistance and sincere comradeship, he became a commander that the people of Aleppo and all its fighters will never forget.
After fulfilling his historical duty in the revolutionary areas, he went to the mountains of Kurdistan to fight against the colonialist Turkish state that imposed heavy isolation on our Leader, carried out the heaviest attacks and wanted to commit genocide. He joined Haki Karer Academy in order to share his vast experience with his comrades, to concentrate on the basis of Democratic Modernity Guerrillaism, to prepare for the new term duties, to gain the style and tactic of the victory command. Comrade Nuri, who also pioneered in the educational environment, successfully managed to train both himself and his comrades in the Apoist line.
Our comrade Nuri, who served at the level of the provincial command, never made a distinction between duties and focused on making his revolution under all circumstances, as a humble Apoist militant. After training, he moved to Metîna and served as a member of the provincial command. During the period he was in Metîna, he took part in the practical stages of the war preparation and made great efforts. With his friendly sincerity and humility, he managed to gain a place in the hearts of all his comrades early on. It responded strongly to the invasion attacks developed by the invading Turkish state against Metina, and planned and coordinated the development of effective actions. Our comrade Nuri Yekta, the precious children raised by our people in Rojhilatê Kurdistan, like Simko Serhildan, Hewram Avyer, Rênas Roj, Mizgîn Ronahî and Rêzan Cavidler, will always be our source of honor and pride, as leading revolutionaries whose hearts beat for the whole of Kurdistan and who are examples of patriotism, and they will never be forgotten.

Our comrade Amara was born in Qûbîn (Beşiri) district of Êlih. She grew up in a family belonging to the patriotic Reshkoti tribe, in the ancient social culture of the Kurdish people and the atmosphere created by the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle. That’s why she started feeling patriotic and seeking freedom as a child. Comrade Amara, who has always had a sympathy for the guerrilla, has felt the pain of her people in her heart, while helping her family by working hard and standing on her feet. But our comrade Amara was not content with just feeling these pains, she saw that she had to do something practically and she searched to fulfill the responsibility that history had placed on her shoulders. As she got to know the PKK movement, which is the identity, honor, pioneer and defender of the Kurdish people, she found the answer to her search. At a time when the number of people who preach that the PKK will be ended, it has decided to give the most effective answer to the private war personnel and the lies they put forward by joining the PKK and increasing the guerrilla army. In order to implement this decision, she made a very meaningful start on the Newroz day of 2017 and turned her face to the mountains of Kurdistan.
Comrade Amara, who joined the PKK and learned about guerrilla life, was amazed as she got to know Leader Apo’s ideology that glorifies women. It is deeply connected to the Apoist ideology and is based on deepening and development. As she deepened in the Apoist ideology, she saw that the power of women was enough for everything, met with the identity of woman and believed more in her own power. With this belief, she is locked into being a pioneering revolutionary woman. Our comrade Amara, who participated in a free life with great love, made early progress. In the same way, she focused on becoming competent in the military field, learning the basic principles of guerrillaism with great curiosity and trying to put them into practice. For this, she attended and successfully completed military training at the operational school in 2019.

After practicing and gaining experience in Garê, she wanted to professionalize on the basis of catching Democratic Modernity Guerrillaism. For this, she was included in the military specialization training in 2021 and participated in the training process with great interest and enthusiasm. After successfully completing her assassination training, she moved to the Metîna area to avenge the anger of millennia from the colonial enemy and all the massacres. Our comrade Amara, who participated in the war process with her morale and excited personality in Metîna, became the center of attention of all her friends. In particular, she made a great effort to prepare the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area against enemy attacks. Our comrade Amara, who enthusiastically participates in every work, has come to the fore with her hardworking personality and self-sacrifice.
Our comrade Amara also sacrificedly joined the front of resistance woven by the guerrilla against the attacks of the colonialist genocidal Turkish state against Zap, Avaşîn and Metina on April 14, 2022. Our comrade Amara, one of the selfless Apoist militants who met this process without hesitation, successfully played his role in this war as one of the professional fighters of YJA Star. With her successful assassination actions, she inflicted heavy losses on the invaders and turned the enemy’s psychology upside down. The invading Turkish army, which could not break the historical resistance of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla and suffered heavy losses in the effective guerrilla actions, used banned bombs and chemical weapons intensively in the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area in order to achieve results. Comrade Amara became our comrade who was martyred for the first time in these attacks on June 3, 2022. After the martyrdom of Comrade Amara, the vengeance and anger of our comrades in the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area increased even more, and Amara avenged our comrade by inflicting one blow upon the enemy. As a free woman, our comrade Amara, who wanted nothing more than to live freely in her own country, Kurdistan with her Kurdish identity under her Leadership, achieved martyrdom by fighting heroically for these purposes. We promise that we will definitely achieve these goals of our comrade Amara, the leading hero of the epic resistance, and we will always keep her memory alive.”
