In the HPG statement, “Our comrades Nevzat, Piling and Sîpan Cûdî developed an epic resistance against these invasion attacks launched by the genocidal Turkish army, under the leadership of Commander Nevzat Şervan. Despite all the intense attacks and techniques of the enemy, he could not break the historical resistance of our comrades and received heavy blows. Our comrade Nevzat was born in a patriotic family in the Qileban district of Sirnex. Since his family was patriotic and Qilaban was an area influenced by the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, he began to hear and know the name of our Party from an early age. Our comrade Nevzat, who grew up with the heroic epics of the guerrilla, also dreamed of being the hero of these epics one day. Our comrade Nevzat, who grew up in a Qileban village environment and shaped the personality of the Goyî tribe with the ancient culture and morality, has increased his awareness of Kurdishness day by day. Especially witnessing the enemy’s oppression and the policies of assimilation of our people caused anger in our comrade Nevzat and caused him to experience deep contradictions. In 2011, the martyrdom of 2 uncles and many of his childhood friends in the massacre carried out by the genocidal Turkish state against Kurdish youth and children in Robaskî, our comrade Nevzat severed all ties with the invading state and, in his own words, “waked up and recognized himself.” After this massacre against his childhood friends and relatives, our comrade Nevzat thought that revenge for this massacre should definitely be taken and made him aware that this is possible by joining the guerrilla ranks.
On this basis, our comrade Nevzat, who joined the guerrilla ranks in 2013, received training for new fighters in the field of Qendil and participated in practical work in this field for a while. During his stay in Qendil, he created important breakthroughs in his personality by integrating the culture and morality he received from his family and the patriotic Goyî tribe with the PKK ideology. During this process, our party started to get to know and understand the PKK better. After gaining a certain ideological and organizational experience, he moved to the Zap field. Here he became more involved in the work of the headquarters and began to gain experience in organizational and military matters. Our comrade Nevzat, who wants to train and improve himself on the guerrilla tactics of the new era, received assassination training for this purpose, and by gaining the trust of our organization due to his success in these trainings, He was also tasked with educating his comrades. Our comrade Nevzat, who has trained his comrades in assassination tactics for about 3 years, has made an important contribution to the fight of hundreds of his comrades as Apoist militants against the enemy. He showed all the intricacies of the assassination tactic to his comrades, both theoretically and practically, and tried to do his best for their development. During this process, he learned a lot from the dozens of comrades he lived with and worked with, and he trained himself spiritually and spiritually every day. He has made learning something from every comrade his main goal, seeing every comrade as a part of himself, and he has felt this in every moment of his life. Our comrade Nevzat, who feels that a piece of himself is lost after every comrade who reaches martyrdom, He made it one of his main goals to strengthen himself even more and to use this power to avenge our martyrs. He thought that loyalty to the martyrs could only be understood in this way and that his dreams would only come true by enlarging the struggle. For this reason, he always wanted to go to Bakûre Kurdistan, where our struggle for freedom and our people’s war of existence and non-existence was most intense, and he realized this request in 2018.
Our comrade Nevzat, who wanted to apply the Revolutionary People’s War perspective in all its aspects after he went to Bakurê Kurdistan and had a deep concentration for this, has made an important effort in this sense. Comrade Nevzat, who has a practice aiming to implement the new period guerrilla life and war style and achieve success in this way, has set an example and pioneered his comrades with this characteristic. By taking part in many actions, it responded to the enemy’s attacks against our people and its leading force, the guerrilla, in many areas of our country. Our comrade Piling considers his participation in the guerrilla a chance as he is a soldier of our people’s freedom struggle and a fighter of the Leader’s philosophy; He never forgot for a moment that it was Leader Apo and our martyrs who gave him this chance. For this, he felt indebted to Leader Apo and our martyrs and wanted to be worthy. With this consciousness, he embraced his struggle more and wanted to devote himself to the struggle with his whole being. Our comrade Piling, who wanted to respond as an Apoist militant to the attacks of ISIS gangs against our people, was involved in the war against these gangs and was wounded once in this war. However, the struggle has never taken a step back from its determination and determination, making this the reason for fighting more. Comrade Piling, who gained war experience in the struggle against gangs, reinforced this war experience with academic training and turned his face to the mountains of Kurdistan with the claim of becoming a leading guerrilla and militant of the new era. In this process, he took part in many different studies, and he duly fulfilled his pioneering role with his tempo and style in these studies. Our comrade Piling, who constantly concentrates and educates himself on the new period guerrillaism, which our organization insistently puts on the agenda and which all our comrades want to develop more, wholeheartedly believed that the freedom of our people is possible with the successful practice of the new period guerrilla and made his participation on this basis. During his education, he was constantly intensifying the struggle in Bakûre Kurdistan, he did not just want it emotionally, he saw it as a necessity. Because he believed that the oppression, persecution and massacres that are developing more and more against our people every day can only be ended with an effective struggle to be carried out in Bakûre Kurdistan. Our comrade Piling, who has always participated in life and war at the level of self-sacrifice, fought against the enemy’s operation in the Besta area together with our comrades Nevzat and Sîpan and entered into a clash with the enemy that lasted for hours. With his selfless struggle in these conflicts, he provided heavy blows to the enemy and reached martyrdom by fighting with the determination to be worthy of Leader Apo and our martyrs until his last breath.
