BEHDINAN –HPG Press Center stated, “The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla is conducting a historic resistance to defend Kurdistan, from Mêrdîn to Besta, from Besta to Zap and Metîna. This historical resistance, developed by our forces under the most difficult conditions, with very little means and with great will, is developed with unique heroic epics. Our war, which develops on the basis of the Apoist self-defeating militant spirit and the new era guerrilla, strikes the enemy and calls for an account of the occupation. The AKP-MHP fascist regime, on the one hand, is trying to get results against the guerrilla by committing numerous war crimes against the Turkish army, and on the other hand, it tries to produce false successes through private war media. All the calculations and lies of the special war government are in vain in the face of the truths revealed by the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla at great cost.
As a result of the actions of our forces; 12 invaders were punished, 11 invaders were injured and 2 mobesse camera systems were destroyed. At the same time, 1 bucket, 2 military tents and 1 position were hit. The invading Turkish army’s Resistance Areas; It bombed 31 times with banned bombs and chemical weapons, 8 times with warplanes, and dozens of times with howitzers, mortars, tanks and heavy weapons.
The details of the actions and attacks carried out are as follows:
“Within the framework of the Egîdên Botanê Martyr Diljîn–Martyr Şervan Êrkendi Campaign;
During the night of September 4, two of our comrades, who were on duty in the Omerya area of Mêrdîn, encountered the enemy force. Our comrades, who effectively hit the enemy force at close range with hand grenades and individual weapons, managed to get out safely. Thereupon, the enemy launched an operation in the Omerya area on September 5, and at 12:50, there was contact between our forces and the enemy. This contact, which later turned into a conflict, continued until the morning hours of 7 September. Unable to cope with our two comrades who fought bravely for two days and two nights, the enemy bombed this area 6 times with warplanes and 2 times with attack helicopters. Unsuccessful despite these bombardments, the enemy tried to attack our comrades’ position by bringing armored buckets, but this bucket was also hit by our comrades. Our comrades Xebat and Zana, who fought heroically against hundreds of enemy forces and techniques for two days and two nights without stopping until their last bullets, sacrificedly marched to martyrdom in order not to fall into the hands of the enemy alive. It was learned that at least 2 invaders were punished in these clashes, and 7 invaders were injured, 2 of them seriously.
Our comrades Xebat and Zana, who are real heroes, put fear into the hearts of the enemy by carrying out guerrilla operations in Bakûre Kurdistan under the most difficult conditions. He was helpless in the face of the great resistance of our comrades and suffered heavy losses. These comrades, who represent the irresistible militancy and self-sacrificing spirit of the PKK, used all the means at their disposal against the enemy to the last degree and reached martyrdom by showing the most valiant stance. As long as we have such brave, faithful, strong-willed, heroic and valiant pioneer commanders, our struggle for freedom will march to victory step by step and will definitely win.
We extend our condolences to the patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially the esteemed families of our martyred comrades, and reiterate our promise to follow the martyrs and achieve their goals.

Xebat Kop
Our comrade Xebat was born in a family with patriotic feelings in Kop district of Muş. He was brought up with a strong social culture in a patriotic family that makes a living by his own labor. He studied in Turkish public schools for 10 years. Comrade Xebat, who was interested in the struggle for existence and freedom of the Kurdish people, started to join the serhildans after a while. In the Serhildans, he both recognized the resistance character of the Kurdish people, witnessed their glorious courage, and witnessed the oppression and persecution of the colonialist, genocidal Turkish state against the Kurdish people. In these serhildans, he brought to consciousness the reality of his own people and the reality of the enemy. As he saw the enemy’s cruelty, his hatred and anger increased, and he decided to fight by participating in revolutionary youth work. While he was in youth activities, he was detained by the enemy and subjected to torture.
Our comrade Xebat, who turned to the mountains of Kurdistan because the Turkish state did not allow Kurdish youth to live freely with their identity and fight for freedom, joined the guerrilla ranks in the province of Mêrdîn. Later, he moved to Medya Defense Zones, where he received his first guerrilla training and started practice. He trained himself on the basis of HPG’s restructuring project by being involved in the training process at the operation school. When ISIS gangs developed a genocidal attack on our Yazidi people in Shengal, our comrade Xebat fulfilled his historical mission as one of the valiant Apoist militants and fought against the gangs. When the colonialist, genocidal Turkish state brutally attacked our people in Bakûre Kurdistan on the basis of the Collapse Plan, our comrade Xebat went to Bakûre Kurdistan and got involved in the struggle. Turkish army tanks, When he deployed cannons and planes and attacked the cities of Kurdistan, our comrade Xebat went to Nisêbîn and joined the Self-Government Resistance. He was wounded in this resistance process, and he fought with great will and courage without the opportunity to heal his wounds. Here, our immortal sacrifice commander, Xebatkar Baran, took part in the epic resistance that developed under the command of Comrade Xebatkar and became one of the great heroes of the process that caused syndromes to the police, military and paramilitary gangs of the Turkish state.
Despite the Turkish state besieging Nisêbîn from all sides, our comrade Xebat was able to successfully exit with his wounded comrades and reached the Medya Defense Zones. Seeing that it is necessary to specialize more in order to fight the colonialist genocidal Turkish state more professionally, he became involved in the education process. One of our great commanders, Soro (Salih Kaplan), who pioneered the development of the sabotage tactic in the HPG and its application with great creativity, and who died while he was at the Mêrdîn state command, specialized in sabotage tactics in memory of Comrade. Our comrade Xebat became a commander with his strong experience in addition to his professional guerrillaism, and he assumed duties at the level of team and unit commander. He served in the military specialty academy for about three years and trained his comrades.
Our comrade Xebat, who is an exemplary commander and a very concise militant, was able to establish a throne in the hearts of all his comrades with his humble, sincere, moral, disciplined, determined and high-willed personality. He constantly strived for the vengeance of the martyrs and the freedom of his people, and offered to go wherever there is a difficulty. With these feelings, he went back to the province of Mêrdîn and assumed a duty. He returned to the land of Merdin, where he set foot as a civilian Kurdish youth, this time as a very experienced Apoist commander. It demonstrated an exemplary practice in the guerrillaism of Bakûrê Kurdistan, which was carried out with very limited resources and under difficult conditions. He succeeded in defeating all the tendencies of the enemy and successfully representing the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla in Mêrdîn.
Zana Rojda
Our comrade Zana was born in Silopia to a family originally from Cizîra Botan and belonging to the Harunî tribe. Our comrade Zana grew up on the slopes of Mount Cûdî, at the intersection of Rojava, Başûr and Bakûr parts of Kurdistan, which is divided into four parts. Because of his growth in such a geography, our comrade Zana became aware of the reality of the enemy, experienced the pain of the invasion of our country every day and dreamed of his freedom. The fact that he grew up in a patriotic family and environment and that his acquaintances joined the ranks of the freedom movement led to the development of searches for our comrade Zana. Like every other Kurdish youth, he believed that he had to do something to get his people out of their colonial position and live freely. Presence of Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla on Mount Judi,
On this basis, he joined the serhildans as an honorable patriot, did not go unpunished against enemy attacks, and became a militia member of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla. He did all kinds of help with great courage and gave a lot of effort. Whenever he saw the guerrillas, he wanted to take part in them, to be a part of the free life and to be the companion of his comrades. With these feelings, he turned his face to Judi in August and during the Resurrection Festival and joined the guerrilla ranks, never to return. Being a guerrilla in the lands of Botan, where the guerrilla first started, caused great morale and joy in the heart of our comrade Zana. He received his new warrior training in Besta, and with his quick-witted intelligence and high adaptability, he immediately got into practice. He took his place in the mobile battalion in Botan and gained experience.
When ISIS gangs attacked Kobanê under the direction of the Turkish state and wanted to massacre our people there, Kobanê displayed an epic resistance. Our comrade Zana, like every honorable Kurd, was involved in the Kobanê mobilization process and took his place in the resistance. Our comrade Zana, who fought with great courage, determination and belief in victory, had an unwavering march here. Although he was wounded twice during the resistance process, he did not see this as an obstacle and continued to fight in this way. He knew how to overcome all kinds of difficulties he faced with his high Apoist will. Our great sacrifice commander, Gelhat Gabar, who was martyred in Kobanê, had the honor and honor of fighting under the command of Comrade Gelhat Gabar, and he saw this as a great chance for himself.
Our comrade Zana, who was very impressed by the life, stance, comradeship, personality and courage of Comrade Gelhat Gabar, decided to become a professional bouncer. On this basis, Hêzên Taybet became involved in the organization, where our comrade Gelhat laid the foundations and worked, he was also educated and tried to be worthy of the martyrs. He successfully completed his professional revolutionary training, and after the training he trained his comrades with his strong stance.
The physical freedom of our Leader has concentrated very strongly in order to save our people from the grip of genocide and to hold accountable for the sufferings inflicted on our people. Our comrade Zana, who was locked in the victory guerrilla, marched to Mêrdîn on this basis and participated in the practice. As a leading commander with his vast experience and strong claim, he was involved in the tough struggle in Bakûrê Kurdistan. He pioneered with his comradeship, high courage and great determination, and knew how to overcome all the obstacles of the enemy. Our comrade Zana, who took his place in many actions and dealt heavy blows to the enemy, also fought heroically in the last conflict with the enemy. After punishing many invaders, he sacrificedly marched to martyrdom in order not to fall alive in the hands of the enemy.
ACTION FOR REVENGE
From September 1 to September 28, the Turkish army cut down trees in the Bagok region of Mêrdîn, between Gundê Hebabê and Girê Şehîd Akîf, and tried to build a road for occupation. The invading forces of the Turkish state, which plundered and re-exploited the geography of Kurdistan, were taken under control. On September 28, at 11:00, an action was organized against the invaders under control with the tactic of infiltration. 1 double shot effectively from close range by our mobile team was penalized and 2 doubles were injured. The Turkish army then launched an operation in the area, attack helicopters bombarded the area and withdrew two days later without result.
This action was carried out to avenge our comrades Xebat and Zana, who died in Omerya on September 7th.
SABOTAGE AT BESTA
- In the Girê Sêvo and Besta Bilûzerê areas of the Besta region of Botan, the trees in the region are cut down by the invaders. Our YJA Star mobile teams, which took these invaders under control for a while, carried out two actions with the tactic of sabotage at 07:00 on October 6th. The invaders who wanted to advance towards the battle positions by controlling the mobesse system were hit with sabotage tactics, while 4 invaders were punished, 2 mobesse camera systems were destroyed.
Within the framework of the Cenga Xabûre Martyr War Maraş Revolutionary Campaign;
- On October 10, at 05:30, the invaders in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were hit with heavy weapons by our mobile teams. In this action, 2 military tents belonging to the invaders were hit.
- On October 10, at 11:00, the invaders advancing towards the battle positions in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were hit and hit by our mobile teams. After the action, the invaders had to retreat one step.
