NEWS CENTER – Debbie Boockchin said that Turkish President Erdoğan sees the democratic, feminist and ecological system in Rojava as a threat to himself. Secretary General of the Rojava Emergency Committee in the USA, Debbie Bookchin, spoke to ANF.
Debbie Bookchin stated that Erdoğan’s war against the PKK is a war against the Kurdish people and is being done entirely for ethnic cleansing.
Bookchin determined that as long as the membership of NATO continues, the coalition will not close the airspace in Rojava in Turkey and continued as follows: “Of course, we can put serious pressure on Erdoğan for some implementation. With this pressure, it is possible that Erdogan should withdraw from military operations and approach peace talks with the PKK. We see that the Turkish state is now committing serious massacres in the region. It is trying to rid the region of the Kurds and the ‘refugees’ in Turkey like in Afrin. did it, do it in this area as well.”
THE SYSTEM IN THE WEST SEES ITSELF AS A THREAT
Bookchin pointed out that Erdogan sees the democratic, feminist and ecological system in Rojava as a threat against him and said, “We clearly see that Erdogan has violated human rights. The leaders of Western countries condemn Russia for invading Ukraine, but in they remain silent in the face of Erdogan’s attacks on the Kurdish people and Rojava; they should be ashamed of their attitude. We will continue the struggle. I hope that we will be able to seriously change the western political approach to the region in the future. “
