BEHDINAN – KJK board member Zerîn Rûken, stated that without a rooted women’s revolution affecting all areas of life, it would not be possible to change or overcome the institutions, theories and concepts of the dominant male mentality, saying: “The Sharia laws under the guise of religion and the imposed veil law is nonsense, it’s a misrepresentation, it’s misogyny.” Stressing the importance of collective resistance and organization, she concluded , “That is the fear of women.”
Answering ANF news agency’s questions on the Iranian state’s feminicides, KJK Executive Council member Zerîn Rûken made it clear that the women’s revolution led by leader Abdullah Öcalan was created with his perspective and politics and that this is a fact that cannot be denied. She explained: “Around the world, Rojhilat Kurdistan has become the hope of freedom for people and women. The revolutionary process being led by the women’s movement in Rojhilat, organizing women with the system and building a democratic nation is our willpower and our struggle that will not fail against the Iranian system.
One of the main aims of many massacres of women is to try to thwart the women’s revolution that is affecting the Middle East and the world at large. In Iran, women’s power is very crucial. The one that caused the crisis of capitalist modernity, the one that will undo the conquest of dominant male thought in the Middle East is the women’s revolution. In Iran and Rojhilat, women’s struggle is crucial. We can safely say that the conditions and opportunities are suitable.”
Zerîn Rûken said that in Iran and Rojhilat without the women’s revolution affecting all areas, it would be impossible to change and eliminate men’s thinking, ideologies and definitions. The KJK coordinating member further stated: “Especially when one evaluates the results of the women’s struggle, it shows that the forces of the ruling oppressive Iranian regime want to destroy the influence and the system run by women, and when they cannot, any reflex of theirs is weakened becomes. To this end, they have instituted a special war policy. It is for this reason that the killing of women is forced.”
KJK coordinating member said that women’s liberation work, which is one of Chairman Abdullah Öcalan’s most strategic works, is for all parts of Kurdistan and women around the world and continued:“The women of the world not only see Rêber Apo’s thoughts as valuable, they see in it a project of freedom and liberation. The tyrannical Iranian regime wants to attack, eliminate and render ineffective this force of freedom. With attacks on Iranian and Kurdish women from Rojhilat, a special war policy was implemented as a deep strategic state plan. They breed hostility towards women. In Iran and Rojhilat, in terms of ideological defense, there is a greater need for women’s positioning and organization with the perspective of a women’s revolution.”
She further explained that in Rojhilat Iran the massacre of women, the rape, the veiling of women, the war of genocide against women, against the women’s revolution is at the same time an ideological war and said:“This ideological war is a planned strategic attack by capitalist modernity. It is directed against women in society, politics, business, nature, culture, art, media and education. It shows that social sexism has reached its peak. In Iran, women are now fighting this mentality. As Persian, Kurdish, Arab, Baluchi and Azerbaijani women, we must strengthen our organization, self-defense and gender struggle and take revolutionary steps. It’s time to move forward with the support of women to organize together. First of all, we need to improve mentally, intelligently and at will.”
Zerîn Rüken stated that the women’s struggle in Kurdistan had become known with the slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” (women, life, freedom) and said: “This slogan has meanwhile become a call for free life all over the world. In Rojhilat and Iran, men and women raised this freedom cry in the demonstrations for Jina Amini. The power of “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” has taught the oppressive state a great lesson. All Iranians should create demands and solutions around this slogan and continue their activities even bigger.
Woman means the source of life, she means life. It should be noted that women derive their identity from this fact. Therefore, the women of Rojhilat and Iran, who have a very strong relationship to life, society, work, love and resistance, will stop these genocidal attacks and create an Iran that is safe and free for women.”
In the continuation of her speech, Zerîn Rüken stated that Kurdish women, Persian, Baluchi, Arab and Azerbaijani women in Sine, Meriwan, Tehran, Meşek and Isfahan in particular are defending their social values with large-scale actions against robbery, occupation, genocide, rape and violence demonstrated and said:“One of the main aims of the murderous thinking shown in Iran and Rojhilat against Jina Amini from Sine and Siler Rasuli from Meriwan is to hinder the women’s revolution affecting the Middle East, especially in Rojhilat and Iran. Because Iran will be liberated by the will and organization of women. The crises created by the Iranian regime, the male-dominated thinking and the conquest of that thinking in life will be eliminated by the women’s revolution. There are prerequisites and opportunities for this. Without a fundamental women’s revolution affecting all walks of life, it is impossible to change and eliminate the male dominant mindset, definition and ideology.
Therefore, in the name of religion, the laws of war are imposed and the law of veiling is reversed, which is misogyny. The fear of women. It is an attempt to disempower a woman who seeks freedom and has a will. Therefore, women are required to cover their heads and wear turbans. Jina Emini covered herself up. She went to the city of Tehran with his noble demeanor. However, the man’s thinking could not withstand this original situation, they used the dirty mind of the state as an excuse and murdered Jina Emini under torture. And we say that killing a woman is our reason to start a women’s revolution in Rojhilat and in Iran. The struggle of the women’s movement in the East has become a great hope for all Iranian women, especially for Kurdish, Baloch, Persian, Arab and Azerbaijani women. Hundreds of thousands of women who took to the courts for Jina Emini, millions are Jina. The Iranian regime, which threatens this will, has arrested hundreds of people. people have lost their lives. They attacked society.”
Declaring that the time has come to stop the killings of women, arrests, repression and massacres that seek to oppress women, Zerîn Rüken said:“We are in a good time for a big fight. The Iranian regime wants to force society to capitulate by attacking the militant women. By attacking women’s hope for freedom, they also try to force their thinking and spirit to give up. That’s why they keep attacking. They legitimize rape of all Iranian women. The attack because of a hijab is a message. There is absolutely no coincidence. It was planned and organized. It is a special war plan. It shows how much they fear the woman. The society and women of Iran and Rojhilats have united for Jina Amini. The anger of the people in Iran and in the East is very great. This organized popular anger is an organized force. It brings that freedom with it. It should be settled with self-defense. Students from the University of Tehran shook the streets with the slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî”. There is nothing but repression and oppression that the Iranian regime can give to Iranian society and women.
In the Iranian revolution, women are the decisive force. Preventing this now justifies any attack. The resistance of the population and women against this policy is very strong. There will be a sequel to this. We salute this original heroic attitude of our people in Rojhilat and Iran; in Sine, Seqiz, Meriwan, Tehran, Meşet and Isfahan. According to their history and tradition, Jina Emini and Şiler Rasüli were buried. They demand accountability from this murderous state. The people of Seqiz became Jina and flow like a river. The town of Sine became Jina and Şiler and flows like a river. People worldwide feel Jina’s pain and became her voice. To settle the brutality of the man who murdered her beautiful face, they took their oath. Again, it is understood that nothing is guaranteed in Iran until women’s freedom is guaranteed. That’s why they take off their headscarves on the streets. Jina’s heart went to infinity between the stars. The Iranian moral police have committed the greatest immorality under the name of morality.
Society and women showed anger and determination with the slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî”. They say it’s time for a real deal with this murderous state of Iran. The people of Iran and Rojhilat are very angry. They not only mourn, but also resist. Once again they show that they are looking for freedom. You are against the genocide of women. They demand accountability against the genocide of women. With one voice and one heart they express their desire for freedom for Jina and Şiler, their democratic displeasure against the oppressive Iranian regime.”
WOMEN AND SOCIETY MUST DEFEND THEMSELVES
The coordinating member of the KJK, explained that hundreds of thousands of Jina have taken off their headscarves and turned this system of slavery upside down, saying:“The women who attended the funeral ceremony conveyed this type of message and stood up to the Iranian regime’s tyranny. The Iranian government was asked to resign. Self-defense is the most basic right; defend yourselves. When that beautiful face of Jinas was dragged down in the streets of Tehran, it was not Jina that was murdered, but the souls and bodies of millions of Jinas. Like millions of Jinas, we demand reckoning. This male system must be destroyed. You will be punished with the heaviest punishment before our eyes. Therefore, our people and the women of Iran and the East who have stood up will demand the greatest accountability by stepping up the fight.”
Zerîn Rûken announced that this stance of rebellion has clarified Chairman Abdullah Öcalan’s paradigm to what extent it has affected women in Rojhilat, saying: “This phase is the phase of freedom. Rêber Apo is the one who created this power. Wherever there is a strong-willed and effective women’s organization, the power of this paradigm is there. Women in the East and Iran are moving towards freedom under the influence of this paradigm. This process is progressing with the leadership of Persian, Kurdish, Arab and Belus women.”
IRAN WILL BE LIBERATED BY WOMEN’S FREEDOM FIGHTER
Zerîn Rûken stated that the women’s struggle in Iran and the East has reached the level of a strong struggle and said:“It is possible that many social explosions and uprisings led by women are taking place in Iran. Because women are leading the fight for freedom and democracy everywhere, in every social upheaval. The main goal of the women’s movement in Iran is to hold the system to account, to question violence and power. Large circles are united in the fight against male dominance, against fascism and capitalism and call for fundamental changes in the Iranian system. A new system of social life will flourish under the leadership of women. As a result of the disempowering law against women and the repressive policies against women, Jina and Şiler were killed. Today our people in all parts of Iran and the East have opposed the oppressive and misogynistic Iranian regime, rebelled against this thinking, which protects particular government officials. Freedom will come to Iran with women’s organizational power. We welcome the uprising. Iran will be liberated by women’s freedom struggle.”
