MEXMÛR – The population of the Şehid Rûstem Cûdî refugee camp has been at the mercy of enemy attacks since the camp was founded, but every moment of their lives they have responded to the enemy with resistance, with their own organization and with attachment to the ideology and philosophy of Rêber Apos. The population of the refugee camp comes from Botan. Botan itself is a place of patriotism and that is why the PKK started organizing the society and its actions there.
To this day, the population of Botan is a stronghold of patriotism and resistance, and especially the people in the Şehid Rûstem Cûdî refugee camp. That is why the enemy keeps attacking them to this day through the KDP, through the IS gangs, with drones from the occupying Turkish state and with special warfare methods. They want to break this resistance and the patriotic attitude of the population in the camp, which is still expressed at a strong level today. That is why the last attacks were aimed at those who lived the patriotic level and the connection to the resistance of the Kurdish people. Our news agency Nuçe Ciwan spoke to a youth from the camp who expressed the attitude of the youth in the camp with the following words:
“We, as youth from the Şehîd Rûstem Cûdî camp and as members of the youth assembly, first of all condemn the attacks of the occupiers on Maxmur, Shengal and Rojava, we will not leave these attacks unanswered. We will never go backwards. We can say that there is a special war that uses technological means and other means to keep the youth away from the fight. But they should know that the youth from the Şehîd Rûstem Cûdî camp have been well educated and have overcome the politics of deception. We can say that we have finally left the politics of treason behind. Because as opposed to fighting treason, our goal is more to liberate our country. We will always be on this path and will continue on this path. For real, as soon as someone strives for his country, he, they should also make sacrifices. For example, if we want a free Kurdistan, we will of course also make great sacrifices for this freedom. The fairest hevals sacrifice their souls for this path. And we as young people are ready to give our souls for this path. As is known, our friend named Ebû Zêd became a fallen man here in the last few days. Really we remember his life, with his diligence, his life with love for this cause was very big. The death of such a precious person, a death with so much dignity and honor, does not happen to everyone. We are with his martyrdom held high, we do not suffer. My appeal is to all youth to finally move away from the methods of technology and become aware of some things. They should be more committed to their duty and responsibility. If they move away from technical life, they can educate themselves. When a young person understands some characteristics of this system on their own, he or she can realize great developments in their own personality.”
