NEWS CENTER – The invasion attack launched on April 14, 2022 against the guerrilla in Zap, Avaşîn and later Metîna in Medya Defense Zones is about to complete its 5th month. The guerrilla forces’ foresight of this invasion attack and making many necessary preparations from the beginning of the year turned the fascist Erdogan-Bahçeli regime’s occupation plan in Ankara, from the very first day to the opposite. In a short time, especially Zap was planned to be lowered. It was aimed to bring down the Zap and to either destroy or accept surrender of all the guerrilla forces in the area in a short time like a month, with a wave of attacks in the form of an offensive. The account in Ankara did not fit Zap. Just as HPG and YJA Star guerrillas have been fighting against colonialism for 40 years with an unwavering will on the Apoist self-deprecating line, this time it is the same will that the Turkish army faced.
After the uninterrupted bombardment of dozens of resistance areas in one night, thousands of soldiers and counter forces were landed on the war tunnels. With the response from the first minutes, the first wave of attacks failed to reach its goal. The most obvious attack tactic here was that the invading forces started using chemical weapons against the guerrilla from the very first day.
As it will be remembered, the invading Turkish army did not use chemical weapons at first hand during last year’s war. After the effective blows he received in the first days of the war, he started to use chemical weapons. In this year’s war, he started using chemical weapons against the guerrilla first hand. The reason for this was that he wanted to carry out a concept of total destruction in a short time. The invading Turkish army and gangs attacked the guerrilla forces with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons 1,762 times in 5 months. In these attacks, the guerrilla forces announced that they have detected 5 chemical groups with different colors and tastes so far. Finally, on September 9, an attack was carried out against the war tunnels of the guerrilla forces with chlorine gas. With the help of NATO and European states, he is adding a new crime to his crimes against humanity day by day.
USES ALL KINDS OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS
The Turkish army has repeatedly used chemical weapons in its dirty war against the guerrilla for years, but it has never been used as much as in the last two years of war. Chemicals of all kinds; Nervous system poisons (Tabun, Sarin, Soman, Vx), Caustic chemicals (Mustard, Nitrogen Mustard, Lewisite), Lung irritating chemicals (Phosgene, Diphosgene, Chlorpicrin), Systemic poisons (Hydrogen Cyanide, Hydrogen Sulfide), Capacity disrupting chemicals ( BZ, LSD), Clutter control chemicals (Tears: CN,CS,CR, Suppressants: DM), Herbicides (2, 4-D, 2, 4, 5-T, Cacodylic acid, Picloram) and many more Weapons prepared with chemicals are used until the end. In particular, chemicals that are suffocating and paralyzing the nervous system are used extensively.
One of the crimes against humanity committed by the fascist Erdoğan-Bahçeli regime on the basis of the Kurdish genocide was the banned Chlorine gas used in war tunnels on 9 September. In the HPG-BİM statement dated September 9, 2022, it was shared with the public that chlorine gases were used against the war positions of the guerrilla and this was concretely detected by the guerrillas.
THE FIRST CONVENTIONAL CHEMICAL AND PROHIBITED
Of course, everyone can see this gas as ordinary, but according to international laws, the first conventional chemical weapon is Chlorine gas. As it is known, all weapons other than strategic and tactical nuclear weapons fall within the scope of conventional weapons. The use of this gas, which is classified as suffocating gases, is prohibited according to international laws. Previously, the guerrillas in the Martyr Berxwedan battle positions of the Martyr Shahin Resistance Area had described this gas. In fact, Martyr Bager, the commander of the martyrdom of the Martyr Şahin Resistance Area, explained in an image that the color of the substances released as a result of the use of a chemical similar to this gas was yellowish green and its smell resembled bleach. The Turkish army already has this gas in its inventory. As a matter of fact, these gases are banned because they are weapons of mass destruction.
THE EFFECTS ARE FATAL
According to the information given by the guerrillas who took part in the war in the field; When this gas comes into contact with the human body, it first causes itching and redness. Afterwards, effects such as burning in the eyes and throat and inability to breathe are seen. Of course, these symptoms are those that occur with short-term exposure. In the case of long-term exposure, it is among the information given by the guerrillas that it causes blood accumulation in the lungs and death. In addition, the guerrilla forces stated that they are investigating that this gas is much more dense than air, adding that this gas begins to show its main effect when it comes into contact with water. These chemical gases, which cause serious damage to nature, are used consciously. In this way, the invaders aim to destroy both the guerrilla and the geography of Kurdistan. He is committing a crime against both humanity and nature.
THE INVASOR GET ANGRY AS THEY LOSE
The invading Turkish army also aimed to end the guerrilla by putting all kinds of gangs, contras, contract soldiers and private army members on the field, but when all these forces were dealt heavy blows step by step, they started to use all kinds of chemical weapons against them. These weapons, which have dozens of times the effect, especially when used in narrow and closed areas, are aimed at the total destruction of guerrilla forces. It is aimed to be able to interact for a long time in powder form after the explosion, especially by being thrown into explosives in solid form. However, chemical weapons are often used in gas form. Already many times, the guerrilla forces recorded them under difficult conditions and shared them with the public. These methods are especially chosen by the Turkish army, Because the war tunnels are mostly prepared in such a way that air circulation will occur, the chemicals to be discharged in the form of gas do not have a long-term effect. The Turkish army is trying to close the doors of the war tunnels by bombing them with large-scale explosives in order to prevent air circulation. In this way, it is aimed that the gases have a long-term effect.
WESTERN STATES ARE ALSO COMPLIANT
The Turkish army is committing crimes against humanity in front of the eyes of the whole world. All Western states, especially the international formations created to prevent the use of these weapons, are complicit in this crime, both by keeping silent and by offering their own support. People need to take action against it. The responsibility of this struggle rests on the shoulders of every Kurdish individual as well as the guerrilla. Everyone should know that; This invasion attack and the war crimes committed are not just against the guerrilla. It is carried out on the basis of the genocide of the entire Kurdish people. If there is a guerrilla force that is selflessly resisting for the honor and existence of the Kurdish people, no one has the right to flee from the struggle.
