NEWS CENTER – The Turkish state continues to commit war crimes, especially during the invasion attacks it launched in April to occupy Zap, Avaşîn and Metina. The HPG Press and Liaison Center gave the following balance sheet regarding the banned attacks in the five-month period between April 14 and September 14:
“The war tunnels and positions of our forces were bombed 2004 times with internationally prohibited bombs (phosphorus bomb, thermobaric bomb and tactical nuclear bomb) and chemical weapons.”
A large number of information, testimonies and documents have been found confirming this information provided by HPG BİM so far. New evidence of war crimes has emerged in the Girê Martyr Pîrdoxan area of Metîna’s Girê Amediyê Resistance Area.
The images obtained by the ANF clearly reveal that the Turkish army is using specially prepared banned bombs and chemical weapons against the guerrilla.
According to the information received from guerrilla sources, the banned bombs are not ready-made bombs of the known type, but were prepared in canisters in a mixture to create a complex and tactical nuclear effect.
In the footage, it is seen that explosives containing chemical weapons are suspended in drums or barrels at the entrance of the war tunnels with ropes. The Turkish soldiers, who could not advance by fighting, were seen putting these bombs in front of the battle positions and tunnels, especially on August 11 and 12.
- On 16 and 17 August, Turkish soldiers walking with a long hose in their hands draw attention. It was learned that chemical gases were sent through these hoses extended to the front of the battle positions. These tornadoes are clearly visible in the images.
- On August 24 and the following days, it was reported that the Turkish army first detonated these high-intensity banned bombs, and then tried to kill the guerrillas by sending chemical gas through hoses.
These attacks by the Turkish army, at the risk of committing war crimes, did not yield any results against the guerrilla, and the construction of roads and positions for the Turkish army was started by the KDP forces on 27 August in the same region.
