BEHDINAN – Moral is an indispensable part of guerrilla life. Songs are sung, poems are recited, skits are performed, theatre plays are staged, and halays (gowend – traditional dance) are pulled. Expectant preparations and rehearsals are made in advance. Sometimes morale boosters occur at any time of the day as a natural gathering after a day’s work. A chant is sung and everyone starts to sing along, while those who don’t know join in with their applause. And if the guerrilla’s own handmade tea and cottage cheese are included, then all fatigue is forgotten…
In this episode of “Slices of guerrilla life” we witness the moments when a group of guerrillas gather together and sing songs of revolution and have the warmest conversations.
