RIHA – Emîne Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered by relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP Ibrahim Halil Yildiz on July 14, 2018, and whose third son Ferît Şenyaşar was injured during the violent attacks, has been sitting with her son Ferît since March 9 2021 every day in front of the courthouse in Riha and demands accountability for their relatives. Her fourth son was arrested innocently, and she is there for him, too, demanding his release.
The “Vigil for Justice” was also started today by the mother Emîne Şenyaşar and her son on the 542nd day. In the early hours of the morning, the two traveled from their place of residence in Pirsûs to Riha in front of the courthouse.
To commemorate the World Day of Peace on September 1 and due to the end of the holiday and the start of the Judgment Year, the Şenyaşar family opened a “Justice Exhibition” in front of the courthouse. The exhibition will feature photos taken during the Justice Vigil and cartoons about Emine Şenyaşar and the judiciary. People who come to the court also visit the exhibition and receive information from the family.
