BEHDINAN – The protest actions that started after the murder of Jîna Eminî by the Iranian state police forces on September 16, 2022 continue. Mazlum Heften, Member of Parliament of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), made important evaluations to the ANF about how the emerging resistance could be devastating.
Heften, who started his speech by commemorating those who were killed in their last attack, said, “I wish greetings and respect to everyone who took part in this resistance. It is impossible to remain a spectator to these protests against the Iranian regime. “There have been countless revolts against the regime’s oppression and oppression, but these have been suppressed by violent means,” he said.
PJAK Assembly Member Heften, who stated that the Iranian peoples have awakened at the current stage and cannot tolerate oppression and persecution, continued: “In addition to the awakening of the people, the regime is now worried about the continuation of its old pressure of oppression. Because, not only Iranians, but today, the demand for democracy, freedom, rights and law has surrounded the world, we see similar uprisings in many continents and dozens of countries.
PEOPLE’S DEMANDS UNITE IN ‘JIN, JYAN, AZADI’
Reminding that the slogan “Jin jiyan azadi” left its mark on the protests that took place after the murder of Jîna Eminî, Heften said, “Because the target of this regime is women, the liberation of women means the change of this regime. Therefore, this slogan is true and should be respected. It is women and youth who stand up today, and they understand this regime of oppression best,” he said.
Stating that women and youth who do not accept oppression and injustice are ready to pay any price, PJAK Assembly member Heften emphasized that this group is clear in their wishes and demands. Pointing out that the murder of Jîna Emini did not only affect the Kurdish people, Heften continued:
“We see that this atrocity has caused great discomfort among all Iranian peoples, the protests were not limited to Kurdistan, they spread to the whole Iran, and this is an important development in our opinion: Those who stand up today are those who hear their conscience, those who are in favor of democracy and freedom, and ‘Jin, They gathered around the slogan ‘jiyan, azadi’.”
YOU SHOULD FALL TO THE REGIME GAMES
PJAK Assembly Member Mazlum Heften, who also called for the public to be careful and sensitive, said, “The dangers are not only caused by the regime, but also those who appear against the regime may want to empty these protests and draw them to their own lines. The people should not fall for the tricks of the regime and these segments, and the fundamental goal of democracy and freedom should not be abandoned,” he said.
Pointing out that global powers and international organizations are concerned about the nuclear issue produced by the regime and put pressure on the Iranian state in this regard, Heften said, “Beyond the nuclear weapons in the hands of the regime, the main danger is the regime’s lack of freedom and democracy, this situation is more dangerous than the existence of nuclear weapons.”
RESULTS CAN BE GIVEN IF JOINT FIGHT IS GIVEN
Stating that these actions can be fruitful with the common struggle and unity of all peoples living in Iran, Heften warned against the possible dangers that may continue to be experienced:
“If the entire burden of resistance and struggle is placed on the shoulders of the people, this may create opportunities for the regime to turn to the people. For this reason, all religious and ethnic groups and communities that make up Iran need to come together on a common front. Such a front of democracy should put a program in front of this emerging serhilda to get results, only in this way it is possible to achieve success.”
Stating that the democracy front to be established in Iran should play its historical role, Heften made the following calls regarding the front covering Kurdistan: “A part of the democracy front across Iran should also be a front covering Kurds and Kurdistan, this is very important for us. . Both fronts should have a roadmap, today the peoples of Iran are calling us to duty by paying the price, and we must fulfill this duty secularly.”
CALL ON LORISTAN, İLAM AND KIRMENŞAN TO ‘GREASE THE RESISTANCE’
PJAK Assembly Member Mazlum Heften called on the people living in Loristan, Ilam and Kirmenshan regions to increase the resistance even more. Expressing that these regions should not remain silent against the oppression and persecution of the Iranian state, Heften said, “We must show our reaction as a humanitarian duty, history demands this from us.”
Stating that the oppression system mostly targets women and Kurds, Heften stated that women and Kurds stand up again today and said: “Other peoples and groups should claim this resistance, say, “My sister, my brother, who was attacked and murdered, and join the resistance.” Because the laws of the regime are inhuman and should never be accepted, it is essential to change this constitution within the framework of democracy and freedom.”
