ESSEN – The long march, which is traditionally led by Kurdish and internationalist youth every year, started today in Essen, Germany. The Long March to be held this year is held with the slogan “Ji Bo Azadiya Rêber APO, Werin Cenga Azadiyê (For Rêber APO’s freedom: Come to the Freedom Struggle!)”. Kurdish and internationalist youth from many countries such as Germany, England, France, Switzerland, Colombia, Australia, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands started the march in front of the Kurdish Democratic Society Center in Essen.
One of the responsible persons for the committee of organization, Kamilo Torres talked to our agency:
“For start I would like to send greeting to all comrades resisting fascism, in the mountains, in the guerrilla, the comrades in all 4 parts of Kudistan that are building the Revolution and the victory of the people’s of the
Now we are here in the Long March in Europe 2022, we have many comrades from many parts of the World as well as Kurdish comrades…from Australia, Latin America, all parts of Europe. We came to express our call for the Freedom of Rêber APO and why this Freedom is important specially at this time where the people’s of the World comes to better understandings specially now that the anniversary of the conspiracy against Rêbertî of 9th of October, the hegemonic forces of the world – in special the European states and the Turkish state, as well as Russia and USA – they want to erase the Revolutionary Struggle and it’s inspiration that the pardigm of Rêber APO created in the people and it’s only getting more influential.
They want to repress the International Solidarity as well as repress the Revolution in Kurdistan or assimilate it and that’s the reason why we find ourselves in a war situation. A situation where the turkish state is being helped by the NATO forces and international forces not only by economic help by also by delivering weaponry to them but also with logistical and mediatical support by hiding all the war crimes committed by the turkish state against the civilian population, the people’s of Kurdistan and other nation that resist to their expansion that they want to spread on the Middle East creating a new ottoman empire. Supposedly the turkish state by the profound crisis that it find itself in it only find this solution, the elimination of the resistance of the people’s of the Middle East that is lead by the organized Kurdish people.
The people’s that follow Rêber APO, and by this offensive they pretend to erase completely by genocide this resistance and we understand that they are in a panic state and in this critic moment for them so they increase their war, however we saw how in the last 2 years they couldn’t give a step forward in their plans that in all their intentions they got destroyed by the tactics of the guerrilla and the resistance of the united people that stands for their motherland and for the defense of the Revolution. Because for us is clear that the Revolution will not stop. It will only spread on the Middle East and the World, as Rêber APO said himself that it would. Where his books of the manifesto for a democratic nation and his words, he is present.
But for us this is not enough, as young internationalist, young Kurds, young revolutionaries we understand that the moment has come to the physical freedom of Rêber APO that he might be among us in the struggle in this historical moment that human kind find itself in before the abyss. So we can move towards our liberty, all of us organized among our people’s in solidarity towards each other, by using our historical right to embrace this moment to find ouserlves as people’s and existences to make empty this polices of colonization, oppression, exploitation and murderer. They are killing us. The woman, the young, the people’s so the people must understand this moment to create a new socialism, a new horizon, a new perspective for the popular resistance where the liberation of women, the liberation of nature, the liberation of the people’s and it’s autonomy is needed.
In this moment we are not only dreaming about it, we are doing it, uniting, and right now we must feel as the people’s of the World the responsibility to defend Kurdistan…it’s our heart, it’s our Revolution as well because the Revolution in Kurdistan give us strength for our own Revolution, people’s and territories. We as young people in Europe will march for a week but it does not end there, we will continue to build this struggle and building dignity, demanding to the hegemonic forces the freedom of Rêber APO it’s the time for the Victory of the Revolution in Kurdistan and it’s expansion in the Middle East and the World, we are decided to take this struggle in our own hands it is our responsibility as young internationalist and Kurds.
We want to send a revolutionary greeting and love to all the comrades resisting right now in all the parts of the world for this struggle to reach it’s final goal. We send to you a great hug from this Long March of the Youth, we wish you all victory to all of you, and we will meet in the ways to Victory. Serkeftin!”
