NEWS CENTER – The Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) have issued a written statement saying they are responding to attacks by the occupying Turkish state in the region, which are intensifying every day. The statement states:
“To respond to the attacks of the occupying Turkish state and their bands, which are increasing every day, operations were carried out by our armed forces in the areas of Şera, Şêrewa and Ezazê between September 15th and 20th. In the following context:
- On September 15, a base of the occupying Turkish soldiers was targeted on the line of the village of Meryemîn in the region of Şera. As a result of the action, 4 occupying soldiers were killed and three soldiers injured. During the action, an armored vehicle was badly hit.
- On September 19, a base of the occupying Turkish soldiers was targeted near the village of Basufan in the Şêrewa region. As a result of the action, 2 occupying soldiers were killed
- On September 20, as a result of the actions carried out against the bases of the occupying Turkish soldiers in the village of Kil Cibrin near the small town of Ezaz, 3 occupying soldiers were killed and 4 soldiers were injured.
- On the same day, another action against the occupying gangs was carried out in the vicinity of the village of Gobel near the city of Afrin. As a result, 4 mercenaries were killed and 4 others injured.
A total of 8 soldiers and 4 mercenaries were killed and 7 soldiers and 5 mercenaries injured as a result of these actions.”
